so its time to get my car inspected, and my horn only works maybe one out of 30 times when i push on it.. any ideas or common problems it could be?

I'm trying to eliminate the easy options before i have to tear the interior apart and mess with a lot of electrical stuff...

I had the same problem. Turned out the wire had broken off of the spring assembly, so it would rarely make contact. That may be your problem...you can pull your airbag and check to see if that's the problem.

bingo with mine after I changed my wheel the black ground behind there would not be in tight enough. It's kinda hard to explain but what I did was pop off the cruise cover and the blank side cover on the wheel and using a long screwdriver I pushed it back in. It was funny, when I would do a full turn it would work, but when the wheel was strait it wouldn't.
