I was thinking about making my own but then i figured ill just end up melting the housing or seriously damaging something..

I had a friend make mine... it wasn't hard to do at all...
Just put them in the oven for a few minutes, just enough to soften the glue..
but you can't buy clear turn signals.. you can only get them custom..

You can usually find people here that sell them normally from time to time, or make them for you. All else fails they sell the clear sides on ebay for pretty cheap.
