The night went great, thanks for all the good wishes. Here are pictures (i figured it would be easier just to make them clickable-to-enlarge). Basically, here is the setup. Her fav. holiday is oct. 31. After a good solid time of talking about marriage and thinking about figures and the whole 9 yards (so we don't get in over our heads), she probably thought i was going to ask her that night (the 31st), but i didn't, haha. The base of the proposal was the card i found, 6 pictures on the front (detailed stick figures and actions of the comment under the pictures), in order, 1. boy meets girl, 2. girl runs away because of her history of heartake, 3. but she stays, because she finds that the boy also has a history of heartake, 4. they like eachother (holding one hand in picture), 5. they learn to trust eachother (hold both hands in the picture), and 6. they love eachother (huging in the picture). Then the inside of the card simply said "and thats a good thing." So i wrote a long message (of course) commenting on our history and why i love her, etc, etc. Then under the "and thats a good thing," i put "p.s. - i hope this card arrives on Nov. 4th. I guess we'll see how that plays out." Then, "p.s.s. - meet me at our spot on the lake." This spot on the lake (pittsfield illinois) is kind of a pennisula with a very awesome view of the lake and surroundings, with a covered picknick table near the edge. This is where i set everything up. 8 white pumpkins with 3 tea candles each (brightness factor) carved a letter each, "marry me?" The pumpkins were facing where she drove in to the spot. Then behind the pumpkins facing the other way, i had love spelled out with more candles, with the ring sitting open where all the candle light would brighten and sparkle it up. Well, it went very well, and her parents joined us soon after our moment, then later on telling me that they want to pay for every cent of the wedding (we obviously get along real well) (And yes, because of my morals, i asked their permission for their daughters hand way before all of this). Well, i guess i can't say much more other than i'm happily in-love and i am looking very happily toward the future. The pictures can do the rest of the justice. Thanks for all the family kindness from the 6gc.net. Oh yeah, i'll try to get better pics of the ring, it is a lot harder to take pictures of a ring than you think it would be. Thanks agian.
