Some new Pics of my Celica GT - 6G Celicas Forums

After washing my car today I took some pictures, here they are:

Within a couple of weeks my clear indicators will be delivered, so it's gonna look even better. Some months ago, I've also installed a K&N 57i Kit and that sounds great!

I do plan on lowering it in the future, but first I want to change the interior, after that the body. And if I have enough money: 3S-GTE

The sideskirts were an option for the 94-95 model, so they're OEM Toyota (EDM). After 96 there was another type.

Car looks great!! Those rims look so good! but I recommend doing the drop also.. really helps the look of the car plus it will handle amazing!

What kind of engine is that? 3sge?

It's cruise control. Man, I wish I had a 3sge like that. Those 3rd gens are sweet. Be happy you don't live in the states. You've got tons of potiental with that motor. Drop the car only if you want. It looks just fine were it's at. I would invest in some EMS, and then go to town on that motor. Gives me goose bumps just thinking about all the things I would do to that thing.

No, it's no cruise control, it's the control unit of my alarm system. The power potential of the 3S-GE engine isn't very high. You can't turbo it, because the compression ratio is way to high (10.5:1), so you'll need low compression pistons, which are much $$$. To get some extra power you need to NA tune it, and that's very expensive. Cheapest option is to swap it to 3S-GTE engine, which I want to do when I've saved enough money.

That GT-4 looks nice, but needs some cleaning tough. biggrin.gif

The color btw is Storm Blue (no. 752), but at night it more looks like green. Never the less I love the color, too.

I thought it looked funny for a cruise control unit. My bad on that one. I bet you could get 250whp out of a NA 3rd gen 3sge. And that would be all that I would need. I would love to swap one in the car, but I have absolutely no money at the moment. You can turbo a car with 10.5:1 compression, you just have to run low boost. There are some guys out there that bought the 3sge, and then turboed it. I like high reving NA motors, and I don't need a tone of hp for drag. So the 3sge is good for me. So is the 4age though.

I especially like that high sqeeling sound of a Turbo reving at 80.000rpm or so and the blow-off valve blowing overboost off. biggrin.gif
