Hey, I think it would be great if we could get up a dozen or so celicas and head to Great Lakes Speedway. There we could drag, and also hang around and stuff. It's 2 or so hours from Chicago I hear, so I dunno... anyone interested? At the very least, I'm going to be going there some day this summer, and maybe you guys would like to show up too.

Theres another drag strip in Union Grove WI, but not sure how far that is for some poeple. Id be downt to go cept my car only has 2 mods, but either way thatd be fun as hell

In cordova Illinois there is a drag strip. I'm moving back to Northwestern Illinois and would love a Midwest meet! Although, my celica needs alot of work, but I'm saving for a 3sgte swap...so I'm excused for having an ugly car for now >>

I would go but I just left to go to Boston a week ago. I'll be back in Chicago around August though.

July 20 (Saturday) and August 9th (Sunday) are the next times they have fun runs on the weekends. They are $25, and $15 to spectate. My engine isn't totaly built either, but you know, it'd still be fun. Where are those other drag stips, really far north wisconsin and really south illinois would be bad. I would also hope we could get someone who knows the area around Great Lakes Dragstrip so that he would know where to go crusing.

I think I'll be headed up there July 20th with my friends and family (Yea mini van). And if I could get enough people I'd be willing to organize a meet August 9th.

See I think we'd meet sometime around 2 or something, drag for 3 or so hours. Eat. Cruise around for an hour. Then pose for some pictures, and say goodbye around 8ish.

Cordova is very west Illinois, practically on the river. Cordova map. I'd do it, but Great Lakes Dragway would be better.

I might be at Great Lakes Dragway two weeks from now... but we are trying to get a Truck/Trailer so in case "this time" something happens we won't have to pay $200 bucks for someone to tow it back...!!!!

July 20th I am going to great lakes, and I'm going to taking the celica. I hope some of you celica people meet up, it'd be cool to race, and shoot around car talk and stuff.
