Kinda feel bad, but thinking about selling the 4 - 6G Celicas Forums
holy crap. i knew there was a gt-four somewhere in the US, but i never knew it was "legally" registered. too bad you have to sell it. that is one hott car. good luck with the sale.
ss-iii splitters and 404 skirts areon. which means i need to update my sig.
The suspention is the TRD SuperStrut racing suspention that came on the rally car. As for legal in Texas, I don't know the inspection/registration laws down there. I have new radio trim and the mats in the back are nice carpet ones, and rubber ones in the front.

If you're willing to talk a more reasonable price, I'm open to discussion.
I would love to own this vehicle and keep it active within the close-knit 6GC.net community on the East Coast and give it a great home...Its a greatly unique car, and I would seriously be honored to keep it in the hands of my own caring ownership and some of the most knowledgable Celica wrenchers I know of. I hate to see something like this go up for sale on EBay or to somebody who just wants a "RHD JDM whip, yo" to flog around in and be cool in.
I'm genuinely interested in this car for the long haul, and treating it like a collectors vehicle as the right owner should treat it. If top dollar is the primary concern in this sale, then perhaps I'm not your guy....But if you'd like to sell the car to the right owner who'll take immaculate care of such a unique vehicle then let me know, I'm your man.
If you're interested just let me know and I'll look into this more seriously.
Corey

Well then I guess you're not buying it are you??
There's a little thing called RARITY and DEMAND.
I don't want the standard flames here, but let's do a little comparison. Why do people get $35K+ for a low mileage TT Supra that could be 10+ years old? BECAUSE PEOPLE WANT THEM.

I meant this mostly for maintenance costs...
You cannot just go down to your local auto store and buy parts you might need to fix this car, and you could not just call your local Toyota dealer. Everything would need to be ordered from over seas which takes time and money.
I'm not trying to rain on anybodys parade, just thought i'd post my 2 cents for those on a tight budget!

Past: V6 Swapped 6G Celica, E46 BMW M3, Jeep Wrangler TJCurrent: 850rwhp C6 Corvette Grandsport, Gen1 6.2L Ford Raptor
so today, over dinner, I asked my mom if I could borrow 15-20K to buy a car. she said no.
94 GT - Sold -------- 69 Pontiac Lemans - Sold88 Alltrac - Sold ---- 04 WRX - Sold00 GT-S - Sold ------ 91 Miata - project/drift car95 GT - Sold -------- 96 GT - New Daily Drive
Ok, about price, lets look at how much it would cost to just bring another one in. Just buying it in europe will cost around $12k US, then shipping ~$2k, then import fees 15% tax on vehicles plus the cost of a registered importer. Then you have to get the paperwork done to put it on the street. So if you think my price is too high, go get your own, should only cost about $20k-25k to get it all set, or you can go through a company like Motorex and pay $50k or more.
And yes many parts (not the usually maintenance stuff) all has to be gotten from the UK or Japan.
Also as has been pointed out, and I have realized now, this is not some cool car to just have and play around with. It is not easy to repair when broken, though has shown itself as a very reliable vehicle now. It will only stay that way if given the attention required of an exotic sports car.
With that in mind, she will be all set for sale at the end of next week. She has an exhaust appointment to make on Wednesday.

Lol, I'd love to buy this and I am seriously considering it. My concerns are:
1) how is driving RHD as my Daily driver?
2) It is 11 years old and doesn't have the luxiruies my current g20 has/ what are body problems?
3) Does the AC/ all accessories work?
4) most important... how much will this piss off the wife/ am I allowed to buy this... (for those not married, getting a wife is like adding another mom, gotta get permission to do certain things) lol
But this is my dream car and there are no emissions here in OH anymore so only thing I'd have to do is get a an airbag if possible cause I'd like to be safety conscious...
hmmm then Forgy and I can drive around cincy and make fun of all the ricers out here.. ahh dream might come reality...

She has never been on the track since I have owned it, went autoXing once in it and that was insanely fun. The car was being built to be a show car, too rare/ valiable in the states to be trying to destroy it on the track or even pushing it on a dyno. Stock HP is about 255-260hp with the current setup she is pushing a bit over that (being I have eaten STI's and EVO's and C6 Vette's on the highways when playing a bit.

Not meaning to be negative here or anything but im just wondering what you are using to drive the 850 jectors?? On your list you havent mentioned anything.
The Blitz is the same as the OEM ECU, programmed for 550s
If thats all your relying on then I would say the block, rings, CAT & O2 sensor would be shot, if not then suffering badly from bore wash or the effects of it, then theres your fuel consumption, you might as well throw the money into a fire.
To all those looking to buy a faff the ownership costs are extreme to say the least:
Oil change every 3K miles (Something like Silkolene Pro R 15w-50, 5 Litres @ around $20 per litre)
Gearbox & diff oil every 9K miles (Something like Silkolene Silktran Syn 5, 7 litres @ around $22 per litre)
Plugs every 2nd or 3rd oil change $86
Cam belt kit is $445, change every 60,000 on the clock (Dont forget every time the water pump, oil pump, intercooler pump goes you need to change the cam belt & tensioner)
Dizzy is $115
Rotor Arm for Dizzy is $25
Front brake discs are $372 a set
Rear brake discs are $372 a set
Front brake pads are $107 (2 corners = 4 x pads)
Rear brake pads are $80 (2 corners = 4 x pads)
Rear handbrake shoes are around $100 (2 corners = 4 x pads)
Tyres, yes the myth is true, if one tyre goes bald all 4 have to be replaced (Unless you go for the same make/model & type of tyre).
If your tyres last say 6Ks at 3Ks swap the rear tyres to the front to give them even wear & make them last longer, the faff is a true 50:50 split car not a 60:40 front bias!! If you swap just the front tyres or just the rear tyres you might get a confliction in the rolling radius which will eat your rear Diff for breakfast (See Diff price below)
Thats your general maintenance service prices
Then you have the problematic parts that just die & die very often
Knock sensor $225(Only use a Toyota ST205 (MKIII MR2) sensor, there is a GM sensor cheapo fix but people in the UK who have tried them have killed their engines very quickly, the GM sensor is not as sensitive as the Toyota one. A good loud knock can blow a brand new Toyota sensor so have a few of these as spares to hand).
Intercooler pump $884
Radiator $525
A single driveshaft new is around $1200
A single wheel bearing is $149 (Then you need 2 seals for it at $28 each) Total $205
A drive shaft boot/gaiter is $149 Yes $149 for a bit of rubber!!!!
CV joint around $300 inc boot (You could get through a few of these puppies)
Rear Diff around $1800
Gearbox around $900 second hand, the stock box is good for 600Bhp only problem is the synchros are made of chocolate, dont know how to stick shift?? Dont use this car to learn, it will punish you & cost a fortune to repair.
Now we get to the fabled super strut suspension
Fig 8 & lower arm number 1 needs to be changed when this goes $1710 total, but you maybe unlucky & have to replace lower arm number 2 $2584 total
(Im on my 3rd set of lower arms & fig 8s, since Ive owned the car).
Fig 8 $204 (You need 2 of these)
Lower Arm 1 $651 (You need 2 of these)
Lower Arm 2 $437 (You need 2 of these)
All of these are UK supply prices from Toyota Japan converted to US $s, they are just for the PARTS you then need to pay for fitting & labour on top of that, at the moment Toyota UK charge £90 per hour labour which is around $167.
Yes your local mechanic can do it cheaper blah, blah, blah but you will learn very quickly not to trust ANYONE to do ANYTHING on a faff that doesnt know these cars inside out, its a very expensive mistake to make & you will only make it once trust me on that!!
After all that the GT4 (All models) are a true driver cars, very satisfying to drive & a true beast on a track or gravel course.
What I mean by a drivers car is that you as a person have to know how to drive to use it.
Cars like the Superpoo & EVO are all controlled by a computer, any muppet can get in one & make it perform with the GT4 it is all mechanical & skill pure & simple, if you dont know how to drive on the edge then this is not the car for you

i agree... why do you have 800cc injectors on a stock ecu? the blitz ecu may have some tweaks, but it cant control injectors that big. maybe this is why the car isn't running right?
15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
i would've been interested if it would've been bone stock gt4. good luck with the sale.

Hey, I'm sure your probably set on selling for the money, but Would you be interested in trading it for a street legal JDM st185 RC plus cash? if so, how much? My RC has about 79k miles on it, completely stock except for a turbo timer, and CD player. I just got my baby and am not sure if I want to sell or get rid of it, but I'd like to have a 205 and money isn;t really permiting right now.
