Rebuilding My 5sfe For The Turbo - 6G Celicas Forums

well guys, while my spare 5sfe is in the shop getting rebuilt (the one im turbo charging), i was wondering if there is anything else i should have them do to power wise (and to help it withstand boost better) while its all apart and out of the car.


Anything, Any suggestions??

metal head gasket for sure, although im sure you knew that:P minor porting should help too.

about 1600 on the rebuild.

I really want to get forged internals for no reason what so ever.

But the bill to do that would OWN me.

well if thats what you have to spend, it wont get you much more than a straight rebuild.
the big gains on the 5s will all come in the head. cams, porting, ect..THATS where its at if you wanna spend $ on the 5s.
and of course, proper engine management to tune it properly..then you wouldnt have to worry about pistons & rods wink.gif
