hey guys, i've been searching so dont flame me, but it gets so confusing due to the many opinions everyone has on speaker sizes. i just want to upgrade my 2 front speakers and my 2 rear ones, i have a 94 ST...
what fits without modding? i dont care what fits with modding, i just want to know the exact sizes that will work if i just put them in there. thanks alot!



i know these are gimmicky but if they're better than stock thats cool with me

The exact size is a 6-3/4" There are a few out there but not many.

There are adapters to let you use a 6-1/2 or 5-1/4. If you use the adapters you will have more choices. It's not really modding you just mount the speaker to the plate and the plate to the car. No cutting or anything.

I know for the fronts if you have the 8" speaker there are pioneer and kicker shallow subs to upgrade however, you will need to screw in new holes to make them fit for they won't mount. They might be even tight and you'll have to loosen up the hole. If you are talking about the top speaker (not the tweeters) they are 4".

yea i dont have the premium system, i've just got the basic 4=speakers

i just want clear good sound, the stock ones i have to have the mid set at -6 on my EQ just to have ea decent amount of bass. it sucks...
