Since Snap has been picking my brain about suspension; I thought id write up a spring note for everyone.
Keep in mind that having strut bars, upgraded sway bars, and good struts play a role in a good suspension.
Me having a ton of upgraded suspension parts doe not mean it is perfect but i love my setup so far.

Please feel free to add you input whehter positive or negative:

>>Sprint:
Blue springs, drop of 1.5" front and rear.
Price is around $150 new.
My experience with them is very good.>>

>>Tein S Tech:
Green springs, drop of 1.5" front, 1" rear
Price is $120-$150
My experience from Chanh's car was a bit bumpy but could have been due to the tires.>>

TRD & Eibach Pro-Kit:
Black springs, drop of 1.5", 1: front
Price: 150+
Minimun drop with stock feel.[/color]

>>DropZone:
Red springs, drop of 1.25" all around i think
Price: under $150
Seems like stock but a tad bumpy>>

>>Intrax:
Purple springs, drop of 1.8" all around
Price: $125-180
No experience>>

>>Tanabe:
2 different kind of springs
drop of 1.25 and 1 for the GF210
drop of 1.5 and 1.25 for the TF210?
Price: 150 and up
No experience>>

Eibach Sportlines:

If theres any brands fill them in for me please.

pretty much agree with you on dz. a lil lower (1.5" all around) and cheaper than teins but a lil bumpier (dunno about 6gc, but rode in a dropped 7gc with teins). and that's with kyb's. bumpiness could be partially cause by my low profile 205/40/17 tires. i'll probably upgrade to 45 soon and see if it makes any difference.

the 45 profile rides so much better than 40s IMO

Teins are a little bumpier than stock...I don't mind though, I was hoping they'd be a little stiffer than stock. I am happy with them.

I love my teins. Not to bumpy for me and i have 35 series tires. I love my Teins. Also got S-techs for my g/f's eclipse and i love the drop and the stiffness of them on her car as well.

my experience was with the DF210 and GF210
i initially purchased the GF210 but was offered a better deal on the DF210's and a refund on the GF210's so an employee could sell them to their friend?? I only had the GF210's for a week so i didn't get to make an actual opinion on them from a performance standpoint however the ride quality was quite stiff.

I purchased the DF210's for $80 and have had them on for over a year. As far as ride quality i most definitely have no complaints i enjoy the ride height they feel plenty strong in cornering esp. w/ my ST swaybars, I'm still on stock shocks/struts and ride quality on bumpy roads was not compromised as bad as i had initially thought it would be... Not too many people on here have Tanabe but from my experience in other celicas i find that they are definitely a good quality spring. I'd recommend them.

My experience with them; relitivly good. Big drop, and a tab bumpy, but could be due to my sh*ty 65 series tire, and many other suspension upgrades that have stiffened the chassis, and i still have the original struts in (which is a BIG factor in ride quality)

Lew, what are your thoughts on the blisteins? Worth the money? I dont want KYB's since im too low for them.

bilsteins have a smooth feel. stiff in the beginning, no complaints about them except the availability. hard to find them and at good prices. ebay for 2 rear struts and 2 front shocks go for over 300 now. theres a site that carrys the front housings yet it says full strut, i called them but sales ppl are dumb. its nice to have a performance shock thats hard to find.

remember this is about srpings, not shocks, or else id go into more detail about strut bars, sway bars, and more.

i have the eibach pro-kit. very pleased with them. if you are going for the slammed look though, not your best bet since they are only a 1" drop. i still have about a 3 finger gap, but that will be fixed when i get my 225-50s . however, they feel great. a bit stiffer but almost stock. not bumpy at all and they definitly handle turns better with less roll. to those buying springs, keep in mind that a large drop can screw with your alignment and was one of the reasons i decided on the pro-kit.

also might add eibach sportlines to your list.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.

What about for someone wanting to race but not wanting to pay for coil-overs? What is recomended? I don't know why I ask other than curiousity, I won't buy anything. I have to get the sway bars first, they'll help a heck of a lot more.

Nice low drop not too low though, feels pretty stock besides the fact that since the car sits lower, the springs hit each other, make sure you have spring bumpers.

TRD:
Black springs drop of 1" to 1.5"
Price between $175-240

Best suspension I ever had. Good feel, good handling better than my Intrax. Less bumpy, more stiff. It was just not low enough for me thats why I switched to Intrax.

I use G-Max 40mm springs & love em to bits & they are also pretty cheap at £82 for 35mm & £96 ($179.69) for 40mm & i use 215/35/18 tyres.

they have a load of fitments for all models

riding in the Teins was a pain with the 215/40/17 toyos, always bottomed out on wavy roads, bumpy. I have 215/45/17 now, and ride is soo smooth now!!!

Verdict: Nice smooth ride with the right tires. Looks great.
If looking for performance, they are not stiff enough.

I have Bilstiens im installing, hopefully it will make the ride much stiffer, i noticed the car still has its stock struts.

Yeah, TRD is known for some pretty good stuff.

Still no word on best springs for autox racing? It's propibly the TRD's.

Best springs for racing depend entirely on the driver and the spring rates... Most of the springs listed are progrssive type springs or soft street springs. Brands like arospeed, intrax, eibach, dropzone, tein, well... anything under 200-250 dollars are just street lowering springs. If you're looking for a more racy set-up... expect to pay 100-150 dollars a single spring.

I ran KG/MM race springs rated at 5.6 or so kg for the fronts and the rears around 7.8kg... which are farily stiff springs. I'm currently running softer KG/MM street springs, which lower 40mm and are something like 2.8kg all around. Yeah... i know... or knew a guy who dealt in KG/MM products.

First post info incorrect. Dropzone's are 1.5 lower. They are stiffer than stock. The first post has them listed as "bumpy." They are bumpy if you want stock quality. But if you are looking for a nice stiffer feel and don't want to spend $150 per spring, they aren't bad.

my experience with these... the ride is noticeably stiffer but still very comfortable.

however... i went through 2 sets of these and they did NOT drop the car evenly! both sets the REAR of the car was noticeably lower than the front... and when i was trying to figure out my problem.. my searches lead me to find that eibach has this problem for several makes and models of cars...

i regret not switching to some h&rs or teins for my replacements
