It's basically the same as window tint. It would be difficult to do the headlights, becuase you may get wrinkles around the other edge that shows, and prolly air bubbles too. Highbeams might work, since the entire edge is covered by the front bumper. As for the tail lights... idk, i guess it depends on what kind of tail lights you have. Cuase i know the USDM hatch tails have the "grooves" in them and aren't smooth like the jdm or coupe tails. If you did decide to do this, you should do it on a hot day so that the tint is more flexible and stretchable.
yea thatsa good idea u have there, im thinking of the same thing it would probaly work on the tailights just cut out around the tailight groves and it would prob. work fine
i think its cheaper t o just do spray tint.. my friend has one of those cheap walmart spray kits.. air can, spray bottle.. then mixes spray paint and paint thinner and just spray on.. looks awesome and is fairly cheap
but still easy to remove if needed...

really hows that stuff work, i wanna make my tails black wothout spending like 300 on jdm talights
if you want to do it right, take the headlights off the car, and use some water w/ detergent, squeegie, heat gun, and patience. take off the rubber seal, and you can get it to form around the curves using the heat gun, and the water/detergent will let you move the film around as you place it. the squeegie will be use to get the water out from under it, and remove the air bubbles and what not. then, put the rubber seals back on, and that will cover the edges of the film, and there ya go. smile.gif. the highs would be easier, bc you don't have to go around the corners, you'd just have to go to the outside of the lens, before the angle. seeing as how the seals touch the front of the light. this keeps you from having to paint your headlights. if you do decide to paint them, there's a much easier way than spraypaint and thinner. just get some window tint spraypaint from a hobby store (made for RC/model cars). i say try it out man. smile.gif.
