Ok guys since there has been somemore interest from other members about another meet before winter, I've decided to hold another one at Starved Rock (probably the same shelter we were at before, if its available), on the 22nd of October. Its another sunday meet which i think works out good for everyone that came to the last one. Im planning on having a BBQ again, followed by a cruise through Starved Rock State Park and then heading into the town of Ottawa, IL for some good scenery shots! Everyone on the forums is welcome wheather or not you have a 6gc. Just post your name on the list below so we can get an idea of how many people are interested. Thanks again everyone!

im down for it again theres a good place to take pics east on 71 called council rock. theres a small parking area thats usually empty.

also the drive to that spot is a BLAST! you only need 1st and 2nd gear most of the time, maybe 3rd when you hit an open flat spot.

I live about 2 1/2 hours or so from starved rock state park,, i live in mattoon IL.. im soo pumped to get this turbo installed, but just last night some jackhole stole my wallet, so im hoping that doesn't put a delay on the install:(

ah, you're the OTHER 2 hours from there im about 4 hours from you. if you need some help real bad i usually have a free day or 2 a week that i could donate. i have a decent set of hand tools, impacts, and pretty good knowledge of the 7afe and cars.

what are you using to tune it with?

im driving down to Tenn. to have myneyes help me install it..if i ever need any help i'll let you know though,, thanks. im just using a 255 walbro fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, FMU, and a narrow band O2, nothing really to tune, its all mechanical.

that should be OK for relatively low boost, but you'll eventually want some control over your ignition timing so that it can change in relation to boost. also a wideband O2 is, i think, a bare necessity to have. i can put you in contact with a guy who can do about $175 shipped for an AEM 6n1 wideband. thats what i have and i like it, im going to be installing a safc2 and i hope to have that in and partially tuned by this meet.

ya im planning on running like 5-6 psi daily, and around 10 when i race it. eventualy i will get all that extra stuff.

i suggest the emanage, its pretty user friendly but a little costly. the megasquirt is a cheaper alternative but it doesnt control spark and its a little more DIY.


im too used to my friend in cali and his insane 2000 Eclipse GS, built 2.4L with an Evo head, 15psi is 'low boost' for him, 22-25 isnt uncommon. 450ish at the wheels! its an insane car, he can break loose the tires in just about any gear at any speed if he wants to and he's running 235 wide KDW's

im thinking of heading out early and seeing if the jc witney outlet store has and good sales or specials going on, anyone else thinking of doing the same, i think they open up at 9. if nothing else i could pickup some tools for cheap or an obnoxoisly loud horn for my car.

also, anyone thats coming...
i have a muffler for sale, ive been trying to sell it for a while. 2.5 inch inlet, oval straight through with a nice tip. $30 for it is all im asking, it came off my friends eclipse when he moved up to a Greddy EVO 2 exhaust.

its all shiny now, the haze wiped right off of it and the inlet is cleaned up as well.

i also have a 2.5" AEM bypass valve for CAI's. it'll help to keep you from hydrolocking the motor if you hit water.

and

$55, brand new. i have one just like it and i love it. it breaks loose anything, its 460lb/ft

I asked my friend with a V6 eclipse if he wants to come, he may come. he's a cool guy and knows ALOT about suspension, wheels, tires, and brakes. he's my suspension,wheel, tire, and brake guru

Thanks fanboy95 for contacting me. After a string of bad luck with the car I don't know if I'll be able to make it. My uncle has been "borrowing it" for the last 5 months and last time I saw the car it looked like it was beat to s***. So if I do come I'll probably bring my Malibu.
