I understand that there is a meet in Ft. Lauderdale on 11/22, but that is on a Wednesday, and honestly, I cannot POSSIBLY go on a Wednesday. No way, at all. Seriously. I'm sure a lot of you feel the same way. I know most of us work, and wouldn't be able to go, unless you lived closer and such.

So I'm thinking we have a BBQ on the beach. I think that would be fun. And SERIOUSLY guys, let's get a hotel this time. Because there is NO WAY I am going to be driving 5 hours all the way back.

By the way, I will probably be bald by then. Chemo = no fun. Watch out for the bald girl in the celi.

Yeah me and Jason was talkin about it at Denny's.

Definitely should be a Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday thing.

I was brainstorming a bit and came up with a few basic ideas. BBQ on the beach sounds fun. We can hit up the local car show that happens every Friday night anywhere from 6PM-10PM (I'll try to have specific times confirmed). I actually regret not staying at a hotel in Orlando because the drive home was no fun (half asleep+100MPH@4000RPM = Very dangerous and watching your gas needle go down). We need to party at night in the hotel!

Stephen - I'm sure I can get two Miami guys to come to the meet. Ben/bloodrain (tasteful exterior mods) and David/Punch (3S powered). There are others like Mina/xxx_Mina (3S powered 295HP) and about 4 more Celicas but I haven't heard from them in a WHILE. I'll PM them all and let them know about the meet. Punch knows a lot of 6GC people that aren't on the forums as well. I'll confirm the hotel info tomorrow. I'll try to get something near the Towers show. We rented at an ocean-front hotel in Ft.Lauderdale once for cheap. I'll try to get all the info.

November 17-18 sounds good. Should be plenty of time for everyone to ask the day off work if they must and take care of business.

That's the thing, I really don't think I'd be able to take that day off of work.

I don't know. I might not even be able to go. Manager is very bitchy when it comes to schedules. Esp when my schedule is flexible and changes every week. Which reminds me. The OWNER of Kobe Japanese Steakhouse throughout Florida is making up a new scheduling system in which we are able to pick our own days off without the manager's concent. I don't know when this system will be implemented and take effect. It is still in the process of being developed.

Guys, I was browsing through some hotel rates and it's looking good so far. They're looking as low as 50 bucks per room/night. I'm trying to get a beachfront hotel in ft lauderdale and I also saw one for 64 bucks per room/night. So the search is going well. I'm just trying to get this as low as possible for everyone. I also want to find out if we can BBQ near the beach.

We can have the BBQ on the beach, I know Ft Lauderdale beach has some grills and tables set up. Im sure other beaches have spots aswell.

We should park our cars together on the beach. Would be a nice picture and wallpaper. Don't you think Jen?

It would, but I dont know where we can drive onto the beach lol. Theres a park near my house where you can freeley drive across a grass field, maybe we could hit that up for pictures or even have the bbq there for anybody who doesnt wanna go to the beach.

Well.... weather we do this on wed. or friday, I have more then anough time( I hope) to get my car up and running.... so I'll be there... And >>BEN>> you better go man because whether or not I have my car I'm showing...sooo you better... lol... anyway there are some places here for some good prices, **** I am going to be in one this weekend most likely and its only $75 a night but it has a really nice setup, its an efficiency and its on the beach..... hope I get to see you all again.
