Just wanted to share my grief.

someone i work with hit my car and took off.

Such a great feeling to leave work on a friday afternoon and see damage on your rear quarter panel.

i'll post up a pic tommorow

wow...rear bumper woulda been okay cause its replaceable but rear quarter panel? now that hurts! track who ever did it and make them pay!

the metal is already starting to rust

gotta go to my insurance on tuesday and get a quote. im thinking it should only cost ~$350 to fix.

thats why i always park as far away from cars as possible cuz stupid people dont appreciate the beauty of the 6gc.. and they dont know how to drive..

if you know it's someone you work with, look around the parking lot and see if you can find any black cars that look like they could have hit you.

also, is there any actual dent, or just paint scrape? you may be able to get some of the black paint off if you rub it really hard.

doesn't look too bad. try buffing it. hopefully it won't cost too much to fix.

Had almost the EXACT same thing happen to my 6GC. Made me SOOOOO mad. Bummer man. Watch out for somebody. You might get lucky.

that same thing has happen to me 3 times. Sucks to come out to the car and see it and nothing you can do.

the panel is dented, and even if it does buff off i still need to get it repainted.

Good news though.... looks like they are on video. Im going to review the security tape tommorow. Hopefully for their sake they will come forward before i have to send the pictures to the police.

found the guy who did it. It was on the survelience video....

Getting it fixed at the body shop tommorow at his expense!

That's the biggest reason I want a pager alarm...not because of theft, because of hit and runs!!! It should give you enough time to actually run to the parking lot and see what car is running away!

Sucks though, it could have been a lot worst!

wasnt able to find out who did it. He is protected by the canadian privacy act. My company did all the investigating for me and found him. He went to my insurance company and told them he would pay for it.

Got a rental car today..... 2001 camry.... *shudder*

i was at work and someone hit my car too and it left a dent the size of a hubcap in my rear quater also it sucks man

got the car back from the shop.... bad paint job.

lots of dirt particles in the paint and they left metal exposed around the trim.... ugh

Going back this afternoon to get them to redo the job. what a pain!

That sucks that people you work with can't just be honest, I mean accidents happen but jeeze thats just despicable...

I used to have these crazy redneck neighbors who dropped a truck-bed style trailer on the back of my car on Christmas Eve while trying to move it off of his truck with a TRUNDLE BED FRAME. (He was a total idiot.) Smashed the tail lights and left a foot-long groove down the trunk and nearly tore the bumper off. He also threw a log the size of my thigh off his roof once while "trimming" his trees with a chainsaw and hit the driver's side door an inch below the window. Left this huge ding, lucky it didnt hit the window though or I would have had to smash him with the log...

He never had to pay for the damage either cause the police said it was my word against his BOTH TIMES and I couldn't afford a lawyer...
