Both of those mufflers are from the 'street series' and have 2.25" inlets. If you are running a turbo or 3s-gte, you'll want to get a muffler with a 2.5" or 3" inlet for better flow. Go for the magnaflow race-series mufflers. The bigger the muffler body, the quieter it will be - just make sure the muffler internal pipe diameter is appropriate for your application.

Any difference between a double wall oval versus a single wall Round muffler? How would they sound on a stock exhaust? Temporarily, I'm looking for a muffler that would give that aggressive sound on a stock exhaust. I guess I want it to be "semi" loud, enough to let out a growl and be heard by a car next to you, but not too obnoxious that it sets off alarms or sounds like a rattling can like some civics that I've heard. (no offense on civic lovers)
Any recommendation on which "muffler" I should get on a temporary stock exhaust. So far the Magnaflow 14851 seems nice. Any others that maybe better than it?
Thanks for all the inputs guys, I'm just confused regarding which one I should pick up.
mine lookes like the first one, but doesn't have that little bitty hole for an outlet, its wide open, i think 4in.? mines the magnaflow racing series exauhst and it sounds AWSOME!
