Thinking of upgrading to HID. These seem a reasonable price, anyone know if they are any good though?

HID are nice, The kit that I have came from a group buy here and I paid about $250, I dont know the quality of the HID on ebay. but 189 is not bad for a set, assuming its good quality.
^^^^I'd agree, 189 for a HID kit is a pretty good price but quality wise i have no idea. I went and got mine for 235. Loved it ever since.

thanks for the opinions guys, the seller reckons they have been reduced from a higher price - might be good quality if true... either way I'm keen to get HID. The low beams on the gen 6 are pretty poor at night even with decent bulbs.

I'm in contact with the manufacturer of those HID's on Ebay. they said that if I can get 10 people together we can get them for 140 but I don't know if that includes shipping.
I sent a PM to Coomer about starting a group buy for those HIDs if anyone would like to be in it start a list, an I'll try to get as much info from them as I can.

hell yeah bro....thats so rare the purple hids! I dont get how you order diffrent temps on ebay hids they offer everything thing i but dont see how you can order a certain temp.

I'am Reinventing the SLow Lane.....
you have to tell them what you need...the temp and everything else, you have to submit it in once you finished with the ordering..
Oooh ok.....i've thought about getting 12K but i got projectors and they already blind people i,would hate to draw more attention to my self.

I'am Reinventing the SLow Lane.....
let's start a list so we know if we have enough people for this

From what I have seen the Higher the temp doesnt mean the brighter it is.
I have a 6000k, it has nice blue tint to it and its nice and bright. My friend has a 4000k and its more white then blue and is brighter then mine. I have seen around a few cars with a purple HID and they arent very bright and very hard to see in the rain.

I recommend 6000k
^ true ! plus the higher the temp the less the life of the sistem.
but I'll ask for what you guys want cause at the end we all have diferent tastes.
good conclusion...differ taste!
I'm in for a set - I'd prefer the 6000K.

if we get close to 10, i'd be interested for some. if not for me, for me to sell to my friend with projectors on his eclipse.
