Topic #40663 7 posts Started by kash1355
I tried to do quick search beause I'm in a rush but no luck. Could someone tell me how to remove the license plate holder plastic piece that is between both tail lights. I need to get to the frame so I can put some dynomat cuz my plate keeps rattling bad.

You can use this pic (thanks to batman) to help descibe it to me .. I already took off the interior plastic so i can go from there

I think I jsut need to know wut bolt (and how many) need to come off

first, remove the tails. There is a bolt on either side of the plate holder behind the tails. The holder is held in by plastic "pegs", just pull on the holder and it will come strait out.

here is a pic, not the best but all I have right now
(you can see 3 of the white pegs in the pic)

just pull on the pegs with plyers and itll come out? I was gonna do that but i didnt wanna break em.

(btw thanks for the explanation)
Or you can do like I did... put the dynomat under the plate itself. Works great, no hassle, looks stock.

I am trying to remove the bumper cover so I can see if there is any hidden damage from a rear-ending. I am stuck on the plate holder/panel. I have all the pegs out, but the panel is still being held near the top center. Something to do with the license plate lights?
