Uh... what is this? - 6G Celicas Forums

Found it duct taped in the passenger rear panel next to the jack... It had a wire run under the carpet into the harness that connected it to the little light behind the rear shock on the driver side. kindasad.gif

"I bet you drive a standard." "You could make some money off that bet." :D
haha! Yea I have no clue. I can tell it has some sort of battery power. It also has an antennae... That black cord hooks into the battery part and runs into a little styrofoam block. I think it's and antennae... I ripped the stupid thing out and the car still runs. haha geuss I don't need it, just wish I knew what it is. The only thing I can think of is maybe a back up battery or battery booster for the trunk light? *shrug*

Did you buy the car new or used? Maybe someone was after the first owner...

(dun dun duuuuunnnnnnnnnn!)

I am the third owner. But the guy I bought it from was telling me how he thought the dealership was stupid because they told him he needed new pulleys... "What pulleys are doing in a car motor is beyond me!" His exact words. So I wouldn't even consider he put this thing in there. Must have been the original owner.
nice, you found FBI hidden components installed in the car....

Maybe it is some sort of old alarm component, maybe some Gps stuff?
I unplugged everything I could and gently set it in the other room...
Been trying to reach the owner, he won't pick up or return my calls.
haha, I've heard about "buying others people's problems" when buying a used car... I just never thought these "problems" would be the Feds comming after me. rolleyes.gif

i can only make out the yuasa word so i googled that:
http://www.yuasabatteries.com/
Mostly the battery was used for a car alarm battery backup.. as for the other thing, maybe it's stone-age low jack =P
its crazy what some people leave behind when they sell something my friend bought an ipod video from ebay and inside was naked pics of the owner lol
^^^OMG lol

I have an old laptop here, and I won't sell it just for that reason lmao

(I can't wipe it out, cuz somethings wrong with it, but I don't want to sell it damaged to some computer nerd that figures out how to fix it, lol)

"I bet you drive a standard." "You could make some money off that bet." :D
I was thinking about lo-jack as well. But I would think any gps tracker would have a brand name stamp on it... It could be reaalllly old I geuss. But just seems too odd.
google google google anything on it you can make out

The question is not how far. The question is, do you possess the constitution, the depth of faith, to go as far as is needed?
can ship it to me and I'll figure it out what it is.smile.gif

try pluggin it back in and see if the light blinks. looks like a tracker of some kind a bomb would not nessisarily need a battery. but that is pretty sweet, if it was an fbi thing it would have been hidden better like under the car, might wana look for aditional devices!

very cool though.
check the whole car.. there should be cameras watching you! hahaha.. their monitoring this.. were screwed!
Damn son, I just figured it out...
