I tried the guage bulb change, looking for some cool results, and as soon as i replaced the cluster they bulbs didn't show up, so i unpluged all three connectors and pluged them back up and hten my guages didn't work, and neither did any lights, as i continued to drive, the battery died and now my car is immobile, if anyone has any sugestions it would be much appricated, thanks
you must have a bad battery... it really can't have anything to do with the bulbs. are you sure you plugged in the connectors all the way.

Holy crap that sux, I was going to do the same light bulb conversion tmorrow, now I think I'll wait a bit. Let us know how you make out. >redface.gif>
It does really suck, but i will try to keep everyone informed on the progress. I put all the connectors in all of the way, and i have no idea what could have happened, is it possible i blew a fuse or something? Thanks again
That's what I am thinking...though I couldn't see how changing bulbs could effect the battery unless you had a short...damn I wanted to do this today to... >biggrin.gif> >wink.gif>
Any word yet? I jujst finished replacing my stock bulbs with Blue ones I bought at R&S Strauss. At first, my ignition wouldn't start! Turns out, I had turned my steering wheel way left into some kind of lock position, and I had to force it to the right to unlock the ignition. Hope they loook good or I'll have to do it all over again...

BTW, you don't need to remove the piece on top of the steering wheel column to get the gauge cluster in and out. Just lay the cluster flat, plastic piece facing upward, and insert it, then turn it upright when it's in. >wiggle.gif>
i did it in 10 mins and nothing happned to me >confused.gif>
Yeah, it took me about 20 minutes, and mine look 100 times better too, it was well worth the $15 for the replacement bulbs >biggrin.gif>
well, i have looked at it, replaced some blown fuses, and it still doesn't work, so i am just going to take it to the shop, good luck to everyone else out there who will try this, well better luck that i had anyway
you also have to charge the battery >biggrin.gif>
Sorry bout your luck Eddo. If it makes you feel better, I had a 94 Twin Turbo RX7 last month that exploded with me inside it...and I dropped the insurance cause I was goin to switch companies! So, I lost about 15k and my RX7! >wiggle.gif>
all is well once again, just a pinched wire that was causing the shorts and all, i didn't realize that my windows wouldn't work either, so i didn't know where to look for hte problem ( because i was too worried about the instruments to lower the windows) but the guy who fixed it notieced it and finished within one morning, just cost me 45 bucks too, soo not a big deal, i think i will just worry about painting the interior now though, for the time being though
lol 15 bucks for bulbs... u got hosed, i got bulbs for 1.99 all 4 at advanced auto blue >biggrin.gif>
