SWAP IS NEAR COMPLETION...BUT - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #40258 7 posts Started by CelicaSTX02
Hey guys, I need help..................The swap is close to completion, but it would not fire.

-Yes, the engine turns over
-Yes, all the fuses are checked and are in working order
-Yes, the fuel pump starts
-Yes, there are oil in the motor and all the fluids
-Yes, everything is grounded to the firewall and are secure
-Yes, the ECU is sending a signal to ignite
-DG Performance did the wiring harness
-Yes, the ignitor have been checked and is in working order

-No, the wiring harness does not send a signal to the ignitor when tested
-No, the coils does not get a signal to charge up.

Our only option as of right now is to check all the wires in the wiring harness to see if there was a cable cross over or something. I don't think the wiring harness is the problem, because DG Performance did it....but I am not sure what else to check.

If you have any ideas or give me some suggestions of things to check......please let me know. Thank you in advance.

this sounds like the same problem i had after dave did my harness too. on mine, the black/orange wire that sends voltage to the coil was not wired into the main fuse box.

i dont remember what st185 plug its on at the moment, but hang tight, ill look it up in my book.

on the st185 harness, there should be a gray 4wire plug called EB1. doubble check that Pin4 on that plug is going to pin4 on the main 5sfe fuse box plug EA1

lagos had the first harness DG ever did, and this guy were not even sure if it is a harness issue, so id say that no its not something he does quite a bit.
Do you have power at the black/orange wire at the ignitor and coil (with the key switched to on)?
