I was driving down the road doing about 10 or 15 over the speed limit when a bus decided itd be a great time to get into the lane i was in (there were no cars behind me so he could have waited) but I had no time to brake comfortably so I just went into the middle turn lane then by the time I got back into the lane I was in the first place he was in the left turn lane and honked and showed me he was writing down my license plate number. So I went ahead and road raged on him with a lil finger trick i know haha. Yes I know I was speeding but I did what I could do without freaking myself out and braking terribly hard. So whats the worst that can happen? Im thinkin the worst i can get is a letter in the mail which will go to my dad cuz hes the owner of my car.

PS - i dont need to hear how i shouldnt have been speeding or how i should have tried braking. The bus was too close infront of me to try brake it.

I figured I wont get a ticket but what if I want a bus pass someday? jk!

For the record tho im usually pretty nice about letting busses in because I do realize that they have to try maneuver those huge catapiller vehicles and its gotta be tough.

255 in Kirkland. I thought about going to the bus park n ride and yelling at him. I have really bad road rage

I even had road rage at the local Go-kart track this weekend cuz it was 11pm and a 14 year old kid was there racing and he intentionally bumped me cuz i passed him so I went ballistic and was flipping him off! :-) but then even after being stuck for 20 seconds i went and owned him cuz I passed him. :-)

just kidding :-p basically IF anything can happen its your word vs. his. So basically you have a possible of 3 outcomes
1) Nothing with ever happen
2) Nothing will ever happen and the bus driver loses your plate number
3) You go to court and explain to the judge the bus driver was trying to murder all the kids on the bus by purposly crashing the bus into your car while trying to race you.

lol Gokart rage is the worst.. ive been known to spin someones kart toward a solid wall while their taking a right left hander at 35+mph...
If its a regular bus. I dont think they can do anything, but if its a school bus.. some of those have cameras outside and when they catch you thats a mailed ticket

exactly they can also try to get you for wreckless driving....if the bus driver called you in. That means if he's willing to go to court for a witness you can get a ticket.

Nat, in washington the bus driver can basically write you a ticket. If he is going to do anything about it he will contact the police and let them know what happened and give them your plate #. They will write you the ticket.

That is how my bus driver explained it to me a couple years back.

im sure since it was metro its a bit different. and well if they take the plate number its my dads car so they will write him a ticket! boom shaka laka

Im talking about public transportation... I have gotten so many citations ... I am actually going to court tomorrow to fight 3 citations I got 4 weeks ago.. my life sucks... Lets hope I have a license this time.. well legally.

back in HS i was an *** id pass a SLEW of busses... on back roads with double lines. i mean.. their big and slow and yellow.
I hate em' and they stink!
ive had my plate written down a few times no worries.

Try driving in downtown Chicago... if you see a bus coming you get out of the way or get crushed.

Anyone who drives for a living... taxi cabs, buses, trolleys, etc.... has no respect for the laws of the road or pedestrians. You'd get absolutely sick of the job and not care too, day in and day out dealing with all the idiots on the road. Most people already can't drive, let alone bus drivers.

Just don't speed, I guess. I know you don't wanna hear it, but given all else, at least you'd have the satisfaction of knowing you're the good driver and that you're right. "10 or 15 over" makes you just as bad as the bus driver.

Talked to a guy at work and he told me that a bus driver intentionally hit him once. They were in downtown seattle and it was 2 lanes merging into 1 and each lanes were taking turns letting a car in and it was my coworkers turn but when the bus saw him going he went and actually ended up totalling his escort and just kept going. After my coworker got a cop and caught up to the bus the driver said he didnt care he hit him. and new he did. lol.

from what I've found. if you're going to be speeding and illegally passing people you might as well be going fast enough that by the time they even think to write down you're plate number you're already gone.
