this is just a guess and i can't read japanese but the diagram is plotted as the force vector (in Newtons) vs compression (in meters i think). since it's not a linear plot it wouldn't be based on the springs alone but the springs with the dampers together. one graph per model type, and two plots per graph based on the damper settings. the dotted line being the softest setting.

Huh what do you mean the USDM vs JDM adjustable coilovers are different. your talking about the Superstrut Coilovers vs the Mcpherson Coilovers right? yes I would like to know why that is so. When they list the 4k front and 3k rear for superstrut are they referring to the spring rate on the coilover or is that the dampening force for the shock of the coilover, did I lose you???

camper angle should have an effect on suspension travel right or not really? since i do watch a lot of best motoring videos and hot version videos of youtube and I see that many integra type r's that are setup by various tuning company's have really stiff coilovers. The coilovers for integra's are rated at 16k front and 14k rear why is this?? is this for more adjustability when it comes to changing the dampening on the coilover??

i did some checking and based on TEIN's japanese website, SuperStreet jdm mcpherson and jdm superstrut spring rates are the same (F: 4kg/mm, R: 3kg/mm). but on the TEIN USA website, SuperStreet usdm mcpherson spring rates are F: 7kg/mm R: 5kg/mm. i'm not sure why there's a huge difference between the jdm and usdm mcpherson spring rates but maybe it's to make up for the missing upper mounts? since the UK mcpherson spring rates are the same as the JDM ones and also come with the upper mounts.

OK So I understood you. but do not mix superstrut jdm mcpherson in the same phrase, that just confuses other members so from my undestanding let me clear things up.

As most of you know driving conditions here in California have very smooth roads, where testing most likely took place for the AT200/ST204 Tein Super Street Coilover specs setup. The fact that Europe and Japan come with pillow ball mounts has nothing to do with the different spring rates, but just with different road conditions. Being that USA has better road conditions generally speaking. with that said here are the specs for both mcPherson and Superstrut Susupension :

question about the height adjustment between the ST202 Superstrut and ST205 SuperStrut. Why is the adjustablitiy on the ST202 at the front +.39 to -1.57 and the rear is the same. How would you get your suspension to go higher. I dont get that???

Then the ST205 specs are as follows, Front -.59 to -1.77 and Rear -.51 to -1.77.

where can I get alignment specs for the Superstrut suspension. I've only asked this questions two times before and no answers!. I believe on the GT-4 Guys can help me with this. how would any shops over here in California do it????

Don't you remember my alignment I got a while ago? (even though mine isn't superstrut, no uneven wear etc)

as long as go to a place, which has good alignment machines and people who know how to use them, you should be ok

question between USDM Teins and JDM/Euro Teins

USDM come with 7kg and 5kg spring rates

JDM/Euro come with 4kg and 3kg spring rates.

Now are the dampening rates in the shocks different???

well I called Tein today and asked them what the hardest type of springs I could run on the Super Street Dampeners and he said:

Front 9kg and Rear 7kg max. Any spring rate higher than that, you'd have to go custom dampening set up.

That's interesting about the made to order Teins.
I know mine are EDFC compatible, it talks about how to install them in my coilover book, just wondering if people have had to remove to covers to allow room for the motors in the rear.

Also I think all the Japanese Super Street Teins, ST202 & ST205 are EDFC compatible, it's the AT200 that aren't

The ST202's seem to be yeah you are right. The plastics may need to be cut a bit to fit the rear motors. Looks like I found a fit

called Tein USA headquarters and they quote $75-250 for rebuild on Tein Superstreet model. the HA model start at $80-260.

depends on wear and tear of coilover that's why such a huge price range for the rebuild.
