Go HERE. Get more chances of better quality in welding and mendrel bend piping daimeters for LOWER price. Atleast it's branded. Look for the 1.8L 93-97 Corolla Headers. They are practically the same unless you are using a catback system.
Also when you read that description "the exhaust gas pulse released arrives at the collector following the previous pulse in perfect synchronization, creating a perfect, uninterrupted exhaust gas flow." That's what all aftermarket headers do. And also, there is no such thing as perfect exhuast gas flow. Stock headers/manifolds just have more restriction to air flow. Aftermarket headers are design to release those restrictions for better and faster air flow and gas pulse throughout the engine meaning the faster it goes out, the more and faster the engine will suck in air, the faster your engine will work to run faster. BUT the exhaust pulses all depends on your engine dynamics. "Exhaust gas does not come out of the engine in one continuous stream. Since exhaust valves open and close, exhaust gas will flow, then stop, and then flow again as the exhaust valve opens" (quote: perfect, uninterrupted exhaust gas flow). The more cylinders you have, the closer together these pulses run. It also depends on how fast your combustion chamber mixes fuel/air. Headers will help in this part but it really depends on the design of the header (y, t, 4-1, 4-2-1,etc.). 4-1 Design is best for GT in my opinion becuz it has way more torque at high ends than the ST. 4-1 Designs are best for high range torque where as 4-2-1 designs are best for low to mid range torque in my understanding.
"If you think about it, you'll realize that since stock exhausts are so good at restricting that they'll actually ram the exhaust pulses together and actually make pretty darn good low-end torque! Something to keep in mind, though, is that even though an OEM exhaust may make gobs of low-end torque, they are not the most efficient setup overall, since your engine has to work so hard to expel those exhaust gasses. "

thanks for the imput guys, i looked at the link but i couldnt find any headers for the 2.2l 5sfe, am i just missing it?
the ebay header i bought is IDENTICAL to the DC sports header on that page. it all comes from the same supplier in china, they just badge different batches for different sellers.

is it feasable to use one of the mr2 5sfe headers?
Yes it is, but the downpipe is not the same (it curves to the left where as celicas' curves straight) considering that MR2's cat is very small. In other words, the header bolts up (becuz it's a 5SFE head) but the piping design isn't made for that car. You could always just use the header and have a custom 2.5" pipe cat-back system made for you.
I think this question also applies to the 7AFE being in the Celica ST and the Corolla DX and LE.

sorry for not understanding, but so your saying that the 1.8L will fit my 2.5 assuming i do not use a cat, which i was not planning on? do i have that correct? it will have spots for both the sensors?
