So I have been thinking about this for some time and I'm not sure if its anywhere on here, so I was wondering if a 3S would fit in a 93-97 Corolla? I figure there is a chance at it since the ST Celi has the same engine as a 'rolla DX, you know, the 1.8 7AFE. I know the ST needs a motor mount change in order to fit a 3S, and since it seems like a lot of the 6G-ers drop 3S's in their underpowered STs, I figured I would ask you guys.


I am also curious as to what else the 3SGTE would fit into... I'd like to hear some informed answers, and oppinions. Hopefully I will get that.

every thing can fit into any thing..as long as you have $. Personaly, i would do a black top 20V with ITBS. mmmm..man i love 20vs, and ITBS

Not to be rude, but I know that anything with enough money crap. I was looking at a pheasible engine transplant. Toyota sticks so many of the same motors in different cars, there has to be more than the MR2 and All-Trac/GT-Four that can be a body for a 3SGTE. The reason I am asking is because I'm gonna be getting my hands on a 93 'rolla with 275,xxx on it and I want to upgrade when I blow the motor on it. lol.


I am also wondering about a 3S Camry (97-01). Obviously the trans in either the rolla or the Camry would have to go.

yeah im sure you could do it, if you think it's worth it to put a few grand into a corolla then for for it

Not only is the 3SGTE into a Corolla feasible, I'm planning on doing it in the near future. A 3S into a Camry is easy, basically the same as a Celica, and it's been done a few times. The 3S into the Corolla hasn't been done but maybe once in the US, a couple times elsewhere.

In order to swap it into the Corolla though, I'm pretty certain that all four engine mounts would need some fabrication, plus custom axles, and obviously exhaust and all the accessories.

I figured the Camry would be the simpler drop, since its already got same mounts as a GT/GT-Four... I checked out some of your swaps man and you are nuts. lol. Gotta give you
