to make descently fast you got to have at least 3000$ for an engine swap, or the knowledge to go custom turbo route.

Sorry to say the 2.2 engine isnt that receptive to mods:dollar spent.

your car is a GTS? they didnt have those in america.if its anything like the american celica, your not gonna have a powerful car unless you swap.

uhh cheapest way for your Celi to get the most powere is NAWS!!!
Turboing your car will give it power.. not much for NA tuning with the 5SFE

I totally agree. I've totally gave up on making it faster, unless I win a lottery or something ($3, 4Gs is all I need )

I would just get it a good tune, maybe new plugs and leads, at least it will be running as good as it can

Im going to be an optimistic here: I say you work slowly, do little subtle changes. Your thinking too big right now and it'll suck cuz of lack of money. First, start out with basic work and repairs, making sure the paint/body/engine is all in great shape. Then i would buy some rims, and get some springs or something. By then you should have a good idea of whether you want a bodykit, or a lip, or what not. OR you will know if you want to opt out on the body parts and go with the engine route, in which case you could turbo the 5sfe, or do a swap. Just the way i would handle it. Our cars look beautiful as it is, so i would suggest engine stuff.

Where i live that was the only celica that looked the way i wanted ever gone through the toyota dealship here. also the fact that there was only a lil over 2500 of the GT-S model of this car was neat. i wanted a standard but they only had this car in so i got it

if you bought the celi to be a fast car, you should ask for a refund, lol. I can look pretty sexy tho, but the power really drags it behind :-(
