So as you can see im new here, been browsing the forums and site for the last few weeks but didn't want to register until I actualy got my Celi. Got it this morning, its a manual 95 ST, so atleast I get those extra 5 horses that the newer 6th gens don't have Anyway, whats a thread without pics??













The carmax sticker is already removed, just needs to be cleaned up.
Tint is being done tomorrow morning.
The antenna will be swapped with an s2000

What can I do to this car to get it a bit faster other than a swap?

Welcome to the site...it's always good to see new members around. Your car looks nice as well.

Looking through the engine/performance and forced induction sections will give you some good ideas on how to make it a bit quicker without swapping.

welcome, you probably have read this before but just to doble check 7AFE is an engine desing for reliability not for performance. don't push it too much 100 MPH is not something you should do on your car. take care of it and it'll last forever, but if you really wanna have more power you know the options already.

anyway.. Very nice ride! How's Carmax? Are they like officially the place to get used cars?

Your valve cover looks scary.. is it leaking through those screws?

Welcome to the site WH95TE! I'm sure you'll feel right at home her on 6GC. What are your plans for your Celi? I know you just bought it, but it's always nice to know what the new members have in mind with their mods...if any that is.

welcome. pretty clean looking celica. the only way to get any real hp gains, other than swap, is to turbo. good luck with it and take care of your car.

68,xxx miles on the car.
I know its more of en economy car than a performance car, and I don't really want to be pushing 100mph very often. Would be nice to hit it every once and awhile though. I mostly just want to get some good acceleration.

As for mods, really the only set thing I have in mind is getting rid of that nasty antenna

What'd you pay, if you don't mind me asking...I got mine from carmax, a 96 st ann. edition w/ 96,xxx and it was ~10,000 warranty and all, I believe.

I'll make the long story short. Parents are divorced,my dad got my brother a car when he graduate(parents were still together). I graduated a few weeks ago, and he gave me his current wifes car(because hes a jerk and will buy her a brand new car) But im not complaining, because I love the car. So I got it for free, its completely paid off.
