...but judging by the way the rear bumper is made. I give it 2 months before its tore all to hell. lol.

Cuz Thats How Us Country Boyz RollGrowing up racing motocross, i learned one thing..."Always wear clean underwear, you never know when the Paramedics are gonna have to cut your pants off of you"
Wow you do have some skills.. How much do you charge?
for this because i had to do all the body work 3g's but a custom job starts at 2200 without any bodywork, and thank you for the compliments
how much would you charge for a non change of color oem red paint job? i have like one dent by the door that is less than a half an inch deep, a small dent in fender, and other misc knicks, and some peeling

and my doors are black.. lol you already painted the doors! (mark_426's old doors.. and his old motor)

I still have to bolt on the spoiler and put the sunroof and mirrors back on but that is about it....oh i also have to do a silver pin stripping on it to. biggrin.gif
is that car turboed ?

front end makes me sick, however, the paint job is what makes the car with-standable.

i dont like the car, or the scheme at all, but your skills stand out smile.gif
nice job!

don't worry guys i had nothing to do with the choosing of the kit or paint colors....i personally don't like the car at all but i love the way the paint layed and looks
I agree with Manny. The kit and colors are WAY too much for me but I know some people like those kind of things and to each their own.

Here is a tip. I give this to you in the spirit of constructive critism so I hope it is received that way. If you are trying to build your business, my suggestion is to paint and post some cars that are slightly toned down from yours and this one. You still have to include enough custom work to show off your skills but try posting some projects that appeal to people with more traditional tastes. IMO, that would help your business as 99% of car owners would never do something like that to their car (even the number of teenagers that would do something like that is very small I would guess). Good luck.

QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.
Props on the work. A lot of time and effort was put into that.

I hate that Firebird hood and I hate it even more on that car.
It looks like a cheap remake of the ram air. I'm really old school,
so really, it might be the rage now.
I am really sorry it just dosen't do it for me.
I'm sure the paint is amazing. smile.gif

JDM guy made me do it.
paint job is amazing!
but the rest of the car is not my cup of tea
what you all are saying is completly understandable but i can only show what i do......i don't get many people asking for a plain one color paint look...most that come to me are show cars and are looking for te out the window eye catching custom paint. Trust me if I had more plane looks i'd show them to you but i dont.......well besides mark's 6gc but that is no more.

once i do some more maybe there will be some regular black ect in there and i'll be able to show them to you.....right now i have a convertible mustange that's getting painted all pink (does that count) lol......but really these are the kind of paint jobs i get in
im just kinda laughing at the turbo sunfire... my friend has one and its a huge pos... u did good work on it though, thats the last car i would expect to be turbo tongue.gif

Very well put , i personnaly dont like the celica or that orange and black thing ! But thats just me , far too over the top for my likes . If i was looking for a bodyshop though and saw the work you had done to your celica i would feel more than happy to have someone of your ability working on my car !

Is two tone big in the show world out there? I rarely see it at shows here. Kinda interesting to see the difference.

I think the only time id have orange and black together is if I had a HOOTERS sponsored car. Which i have dreamt about for a couple of years.

How long does it take you to do a paint job? do you have other painters? I think I read you own your own shop right??

Cruisin down the street in my Infiniti...always lookin for my next trip to Sin City
yes i own my own shop....with my dad and brother.....they do the engine rebuild and electrical sense i'm still learning in that department, and i do the body and paint work. I have my dad help with the sanding and such because in order to get the car out in a timly manner i just plain need the help.

Normally it takes between 2-4 weeks depending on the extent of paint and body work that needs done.

And yes two tone is a very big thing on the east coast.....I have seen many two tone cars this season at the NCCA judjes events (HIN, Tuner War, Carlisle events, Hot Import Days, Night Shift, Super Tuner Show). Most of the main two tone is black and red/blue/purple. Although I have seen black and green, blue and orange, black and orange, ect. Most people don't realize that a show car needs to have eye catching paint, something that draws people over to the car when it is with other cars. Therefore alot of show cars have flake or pearls in them. They also seem to have more airbrushing then any other cars. For instance if you have a line up of blue, black, white, and red cars and then have mine in there......what car would catch your eye......probabily mine because of the contrast in color as well as the flames and flake. Once something has caught your eye you more then likly look at it...then decide weither you like it or not....therefore the paint did it's job by bringing you over to the car.
