no, in 99 Toyota dropped the coupe body style. They only made the GT hatch and the vert.

ah... so only 94-98 have the smooth sedan-like back? imho that gives the celica a more lexus/premium look than the hatchback

unfortunately, people mess it up by suing both terms interchangeably. even 6gc.net uses it interchangeably when listing member's autos. check it out. i searched for coupes and came up w/hatchbacks. i thought coupe just meant 2doors and not the style of the rear end.
PS i love the regular sedan smooth back look because then your celica can start to look like a lexus coupe =).
