4age Guys - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #37484 6 posts Started by 94silverst
did any of you guys install a new fuel pump? Is the pump in the stock 7afe setup okay to use or do I need to put in a new one? What is the desired fuel pressure in the 4age compared to the 7afe?

*Also, is there any one way to hook up all the loose vacum lines? I just taped off mine for now because I have no idea if how or where they are hooked up matters or not.

Thanks for any replies smile.gif

if you are not turboing or supercharging the 4age then your 7afe fuel pump should work. But it is still advised to put in a new one.

you will need a vaccum diagram for the vaccum hoses. You can not just randomly hook them up because each hose does something. that is why they are there. Toyota will not just randomly throw around vaccum hoses.
fuel pump upgrade is recommended.

vaccum hoses have functions. they have to be routed properly. try to find a diagram for the vaccumm lines. i might have some for the blacktop 4age which should be too different. i'll post later today if i find em, but you should look for silvertop diagrams just to be safe.
Ya, I figured it did matter. But the 7afe and the 4age have different vaccum line functions. If any of the swapers out there that have done this if you could post up some pics of the vaccum lines that would be great!!

Hey, i'll take a pic in the morning and post it so I can show you where I routed my vac lines. Question is are you running a/c on the car? if no, than it should be less of a problem for you. smile.gif
There are two medium size piping that is used for brake booster vaccum ports, you connect both of these to your brake vaccum line that goes into the master cylinder. They are pretty medium big in size. THe rest you can just plug.
