frown.gif tonight my brakes locked up or something like that. Cause i remember being unable to stop my car traveling at about 35mph and i crashed the front of my car, the airbags didn't depoly but i think its done some serious damage now i need to replace the front bump drive side fender. I hit a stop sign but its perfectly alright, and a curb too which flattened my tire. I am so depressed about that. It all happen so fast and my celi started smoking and i was hoping i woke up...so my bumper and alot on the driverside like the light hinge and fog light . And a list of other things including the radiator. I feel like a wreck.... frown.gif

its gonna be really tough frown.gif i will try and have pictures soon. i really could use help with what i need done. My dad says that i just need make a list of parts so we can see if i can save my car. I am so sad , I finally had my dream car and now.....its sitting in the drive way with the drive side smashed up. I just couldn't stop crying...
don't worry about it...it is a pain in the ass, but just keep saving...good idea to start thinking about getting a kit instead of a OEM bumper...work on it slowly...you'll be okay...
frown.gif here's two pictures so far of the damage

Hell.....that'll take nothing to fix up! No frame damage or anything. Just start sourcing parts and you will be back on the road before summer even starts.

Teh Celica sleeps for Winter '06. Suspension overhaul begins........
Fender, Bumper, Headlights, core support(looks like it at least)

Mabey 500$ total if you do it yourself.

DTE

I am a thief.do not buy anything from me.
while i was taking pictures my dad was checking the suspension. which is ok but i am trying find out if everything else is ok. We think my power steering cut out...
hope you are OK physically. i know it can take a few days and then...WHAM!! you are sore in places you didn't even know existed. wink.gif looks like you weren't going too fast and the stop sign peeled your fender back. let's hope for no frame/suspension damage. chin up Cameron. i think we're all pulling for you and hope you can keep it on the road. nobody likes to hear of another Celi hitting the boneyard.
i'm sorry to hear about your celi, and i hope you are okay!

Buy my Celica $2,500 -http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=76562&st=0

thanks. We called insurance and we're gonna try to get it back together. I guess i shouldn't feel too bad about it cause things happen i am told. My buddies and my brother think this could be an excuse to completely restyle my car. After i replace the control arm ^^; i was surprised i did that much damage. thank goodness the airbags didn't deploy

sorry to hear about that. doesn't look too bad. maybe now you can uprgrade to a body kit and some projectors. but that would cost a grip more than stock parts.

ss-iii splitters and 404 skirts areon. which means i need to update my sig.
you're lucky it didn't damage your headlights! I mean, dang they're expensive.

Fix it. You can do most of it yourself.

I was quoted almost 10,000. Turns out, it's going to be half that.

Rely on your 6gc community for parts and advice.

Don't give up! I hate it everytime a 6gc dies. there are so few of them it seems.

$6600 my a$$...if its all just cosmetic damage w/ no frame/suspension damage u can fix that right up cheaper with a kit, aftermarket fenders, maybe new rims. i'd say $2k maybe a lil' over to fix ur ride right up. i got into an accident once with my old car back in the day and the insurance company quoted the damage at $5k and i had it fixed at a local shop, nice owner for 1 grand.

They say i bent the u-frame (or whatever it called.) They also told me the control arms are bent too. I forget what else but the guy told us, but its quite a bit kindasad.gif
don't give up man, take the wheel off and take good picts, i'm sure we should be able to analyze the damage. We're all here for you

if you fix it yourself, you'll be ready in no time. junkyards are your friend and to make it easier, any j-yard that has logged all their vehicles and parts have their info on this site :www.car-parts.com. just follow what it says and you'll be set. a lower control arm will cost you 60 at most and it takes about an hour to remove and put on. your headlights arn't broken and that would prob. be the toughest thing to find. just dont give up on such a great car, it's totally worth it and i know from experience. same thing happened to me last june-my brakes locked up. i was back on the road in a week, just be determined and understand that the celi is important. good luck.

well i am not 100% sure how it happened, but i know i slammed on them going about 30-35mph and the car made no response to stopping (nor were there any marks in the road). And then the steering pretty much was shot so i am not sure kindasad.gif

maybe i will do a video of the road or atleast pictures
