Topic #36753 14 posts Started by CelicaGT04
Hey guys i was wondering if anyone could help me out. I want to get a HID conversion for my car but i dont know where to look to get some much less the price. So if anyone could help me out and point me in the direction of some HID's i would appreciate it. Also, can someone post a pic of thier car with some HID's?

you'll probably find that most people have gone with projectors off of the japanese car rather than hids
why not get both!
there should be a thread in the buy sell forum somewhere.... $250 I believe for the conversion for the low beams..... and so forth

350 for a decent set. Skimp and you'll regret it later.

Thanks, but do you know a reputable site that sells good HID's for the celica?
Try McCulloch on Ebay.
I have a set that I took off my Accord temporarily.
I couldn't stand driving without them.[url=http://http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?query=mcculloch&MfcISAPICommand=GetResult&ht=1&ebaytag1=ebayreg&srchdesc=n&maxRecordsReturned=300&maxRecordsPerPage=50&SortProperty=MetaEndSort]

THere arent ones for the celica specifically. You need to find a kit that is for the 9006 bulb.

Get a good ballast, Hella or Philips are the best.

Was that supposed to be a picture? If so i would really like to see it.
pm/aim this guy: Xbritehid

..i bought my hids from him for liek $235 shipped from the last gb.....
I have a question, what is the best Kelvin rating to get for low beam applications and for high beam applications. I wouldn't mind doing a full 4 bulb HID conversion. Would it be smart to get a 5000K rating with the brightest white possible for high beams, and maybe a 8000K rating for a cool blue look for the low beams. Give up some of the brightness and distance for the blue color on low beams.

Any idea what typical ratings are for BMW HID's, I believe they have separate low/high bulbs.

ALL OEM HIDs are 4300K

anything lower or higher will not be as bright..
if you want 8000K for a lowbeam... might as well drive around w/o any lights on...

i'm not too sure about converting your highbeams to HIDs though.... since you use your highbeams to flash people the constant igniting/turning off will not be too good for your ballasts/ignitors
