What radar detector to buy? I dont have enough money for Passport so I want to upgrade to some better radar then what I have now. I have about $140 to spend.

for about 140 you can get the cobra xrs9930 which i think is their top of the line radar. ebay is awesome.

beltronic is generally a reputable and reliable company

even not set up its cool, cuz it talks to you. the chick is like k9 blah blah blah. haha i have no idea if its effective or not, cuz i havent set it up the right way. but without setting it up it has still saved my ass many times

Valentine 1 AKA V1...its the best...a little highly priced, but it will save your ass all the way...i have been saved many times becuase of it...plus it don't beep to every radar around you....don't give false KA beeps like others...

I once read in a magazine that Valentine is the best, then SilverBullet, then on and on and on....I only care about the top two...I used to have a silverbullet, the best that i've incountered with...haven't tried valentine but heard good stuff about it. I'd say either of these two..

i own a belatronrics that i picked up at cicuit city for about 140 last summer. Hasn't failed me yet. Of course you cannot rely on these to make yoo invincible. Its more or less nice to know when the fuzz is watching. Just think, if it saves you from one ticket it paid for itself.

I use a Valentine 1 and wont get loud without it, not cheap but Im clean 3 years on, try ebay, you may get a bargain.
