Is it normal for a 3sgte to have a alternator cooler and transmission cooler?

yes, the st185 has them.

i ditched my altenator air duct, because it gets in the way of the dipstick/oil filter. 2+yrs of driving without it and no problems. the tranny cooler is part of the awd tranny, so you wont use it when u swap.
