LADY HIT MY CELICA! >( - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #35894 16 posts Started by JoKeRkId613
So I'm driving home from work. I'm at a red light. Some dumb 20-25 year old girl driving a red SUV stops behind me and I guess she let go of the brakes or something and bumped into me. I check my car and there are no dents (surprisingly), just scratches in the paint. Like underneath the clear coat. It's like in the center of my rear bumper. Too bad the Curren in Japan didn't come with some special JDM bumper or else I woulda filed a claim. I didn't do anything because she was kinda hot... j/k. There wasn't any serious damage. I'm not sexist at all, but it seems like all the girls I know can't drive for sh!t... No offense to the beautiful ladies on 6GC. I'm kinda pissed. Thanks for allowing me to vent, 6GC. The Celi is still in one piece. smile.gif

EDIT: Cleaned up the post's title after re-reading forum rules. Sorry.

damn must suck ><

but... what i notice from all my friends that are female (17-23) i notice they pay less attention while driving, most have less refined driving skills (or are less comfortable at driving) than most guys and are more hazardous than most aggressive young male drivers... yet we're the ones paying like 3-5x the amount in insurance compared to young females ><

I think a majority of people who purchase an SUV should be required to pass an IQ & road test, they're big enough to cause pretty serious damage if they hit something.

Unfortunately, it seems like the bigger the car you have, the smaller your brain gets. Pretty dangerous situation if you ask me. It's good that you and the car escaped injury..

edit: edited for clarity.

All of Florida or just the south of Florida? I say its all because everywhere I go in Florida, there are horrible drivers.

FlickR2011 Subaru WRX and 1997 3sgte Celica
the worst drivers live in Arizona man they talk sh!t on Cali that no one can drive but these people are a different type of breed. I'm from Cali and moving to AZ its pretty noticeable. the majority of them.
That suck!
Glad there wasn't much damage.

I think you should (and most likely do) realize that the SUV handles & reacts differently on the road, and just because you're up higher and bigger than a regular car, doesn't mean you're safe. You also own a Celica, so you know the size difference between it versus these sherman tanks riding around on 30" wheels. I re-phrased my comment and took out 'anyone' and replaced it with 'a majority of people'... my bad.

More often than not, around here, it's a bunch of grocery getting SUV's barreling down the road with people yapping on their cellphone, not paying attention to anything. I don't trust people on the road by default, let alone some tard behind the wheel of a 5000 lb. cruise missle.

u serious! -- that would be funny -
i had to drive my friends suburban once... nothing at all like a small celica or even a mid sized truck... its big, top heavy, and carrys a lot of momentum. the thing i hate worst after driving a big suv like this is when some stupid person (mostly middle aged soccer moms in my case) drive their giant suv's on the freeway going 80 mph tailgaiting the heck out of you and you know that when you have to start breaking because of traffic that woman on her cell phone is NOT going to stop in time and there will be one smushed celica

it happens every day in california... a big cause of accidents on our freeways is stupid people tailgating, and stupid people talking on their cell phones ... and it just makes it 10 times worse to be doing those while driving your suv that is not going to stop like the little red sports car parked in your garage during the week
some GUY did that to me! he was rolling to a stop while looking to the side but before stopping he hit me and the girl in the back seat was yelling and pointing but he didnt even look [i couldnt go anywhere, cars on all sides]

nothing happened, he was going like 5mph. no one got out cause he just said 'oh ****' and turned off really quick.
