>>ok I know this is gonna be really messed up.. but I got a question..
I've owned my 6gc for like 7 years now and all of a sudden I am not sure if my headlight stake is working.
so my question is: when the headlight is OFF when you pull on the stake you flash high beam.. but what is supposed to happen when you PUSH the stake in??? is it supposed to do NOTHING or does it turn on HIGHBEAM??? I could not find the answer in the manual!! I could've sworn that should turn on highbeam and now it's broke.
yes after owning this car for 7 years I don't remember how the headlight is supposed to operate!

If you pull it flashes the High Beam till you release.
If you push it turns on the High Beam till you pull it back.
im pretty sure that if the headlights are off pushing the stick forward or pulling it back will do nothing either way
Out of curiosity, why is this important?
If you want your high beams on, just turn them on.
If you don't want your high beams on, leave them off.
As I see it, it doesn't matter what happens when the lights are off and the high beam switch is on.

pushing it forward wont do anything with the lights off, if the lights are on then pushing it forward will turn your brights on
yep just tried this yesterday
if the lights aren't turned on, pulling the high beam stick won't do anything
only if your lights are on will it flash

both my celicas flash all 4 lights even when they are off, and when the car is turned off as well///
^^^ i HAVE checked! lol mine doesn't do anything if they aren't on... i have my lights on whenever i'm driving the car though because we're supposed to have daytime running lights anyways, so mine are always turned on no matter what. but just the other day in my driveway i tested it out, and it didn't do anything unless they were turned on!

for most Toyotas:
While low beams are OFF:
Push stick forward (stick will stay in that position, but high beam won't come on)
Pull stick backward (stick will not stay in that position, you'll have to hold on to the stick, though there will be high beams)
