Hats of to you fella, close to the 500....

What a car, a sleeper too, no rice boy about it.

tuffy... do you have any way you can make in car videos for us? id like to see how a gt4 with that much power feels.

15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
DEAR LORD TUFY, in a way i was thinking others were joking about u making 500. Im like "psh yeah right, 500hp off a 2 liter, 4 banger...lol dont make me laugh"

BUT OMG 490.....WTF dude, your so close. I WANNA SEE IT!

VIDEO TOO!

ps. if it wasnt AWD id be asking for a burn out video...ill settle for some doughnuts tho. (im kinda a sucker for a burn out, and or doughnuts.)

atleast by all the dirt one of two things can be assumed. 1) You really put your car to its potenial and drive it how it is supposed to be driven or 2) your lazy as hell and need to wash your car. lol god i hope its #1, anywho good stuff man

To live, is to sufferTo survive, thats to find meaning, in the suffering....
Sweet ride man, thats very impressive.

good luck with the upcoming mods!

That is amazing man, keep up the good work and I can't wait for the video

u should visit alltrac.net and mr2oc.com smile.gif

..(formerly daily driven) 3S-GTE powered celica currently set @ 12psi..
we just finished mapping. we reached 1.4 bar boost after installing new greedy type R bow, 255 lph apexi fuel pump and 5 bar map sensor. i think now we are so close to 500 whp now or more. i am waiting for new injectors and fuel rail to go dyno one more time.
very nice tuffy!
what rail are you planning to use?
Where did you get the map sensor from tufy? What is this sensor doing exactly?

Spec to be found on my website....
a MAP sensor reads the pressure and converts it into OHMS...
tells the computer how much boost/vacuum is being made
and what does the "5 bar" indicate. that you can go up to 5 bar? The usual OEM Sensor how much bar can this one handle?

Is this a must?

@tufy Where did you buy it?

cheers Joerg

Spec to be found on my website....
"The Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor measures the changes in the intake manifold pressure which result from engine load (intake manifold vacuum) and rpm changes; and converts these into a voltage output. By monitoring the sensor output voltage, the ECU know the manifold pressure. At lower pressure output voltage will be about 1 to 2 volts at idle. While at higher pressure or at Wide Open Throttle (WOT) output voltage will be about 4 to 4.8. The MAP sensor is also used, under certain conditions, to measure barometric pressure, allowing the ECU to make adjustments for different altitudes. The ECU uses the MAP sensor to control fuel delivery and ignition timing."

2 bar = 14.7 psi (oem i think)
3 bar = 29.4 psi
4 bar = 44.1 psi
5 bar = 58.8 psi

Ehm ehm...... Dan:

1 bar = 14.5037738 pounds per square inch

Next time - please check before posting wink.gif

lol sorry i was out by .2 wink.gif
3 bar is now 29psi
4 bar 43.5psi
5 bar 58psi

i got the orignal #s off a quick yahoo scan
"1 Bar MAP sensors are used on NA(naturally asperated) vehicles.
2 Bar MAP Sensors are used on forced induction vehicles(Turbo & Supercharged). They can measure up to 2x the apmospheric pressure(29.4psi), so that means it can measure up to 14.7psi boost(the atmosphere is 14.7psi + 14.7psi from the turbo/supercharger).
3 Bar MAP sensors can measure up to 44.1psi, which translates to 29.7psi boost from a Turbo/supercharger."

thanks for catching that smile.gif

i am planning to use HKS fuel rail. but still i dont have prices to decide.
my tunner installed this map sensor. thanks doogy and playr 158 for info.
btw. i drived my car yesterday night. it was awsome. power is at little bit high rpms but once turbo spoools its very fast. its hard to drive. i have to made some more practice to improve my driving skills.

@playr158 Thank you for your explanation

Ok then i willl have to get one as well. Where can i get such a 5 Bar Map Sensor?

@tufy what ECU are you running? Power FC?

Spec to be found on my website....

yes i have power fc. ecu.
i just checked my old sensor. it writes ''sensor assy. turbo pressure'' brand is denso. 5 bar map sensor is also denso.
Thank you tufy!

Tell me do you use the datalogit or what did your tuner use to get the maps set right.

cheers Joerg

this is so wrong

2 bar is 29psi
4 bar is 58psi
i think what he is tring to say is that a 3 bar map sensor can read 29 psi of boost ans so on.

actually we are both right...your talking atmospheric pressure....mine is in turbo/supercharger boost pressure

"2 bar map = They can measure up to 2x the atmospheric pressure(29.4psi), so that means it can measure up to 14.7psi boost(the atmosphere is 14.7psi + 14.7psi from the turbo/supercharger)."
you have to remember turbo pressure is ABOVE atmosphere...so 0 boost = 14.7 atmosphere so when you read 14.7 on your gauge thats really 29psi...
make sense now?

he used his laptop to tune my car as seen in photos...
That is for sure wink.gif But which program did he run on it "Datalogit" the "Excel" or any other Software?
