when i get out of my car and have my headlights on, and have my key off, when i open the door, the lights dont turn off. is there some sort of fuse that might need to be replaced?

do the door lights come on when you open the door?

is the overhead lights position on door or on! if its on "door" they will turn on when door is open, if its on "on" they will remain on, if its on "off" they wont be on until you move it to on. you gotta turn off your headlights when you leave the car too unless you have an optima which turns off your lights and saves your battery.

the only thing i can think of that would cause this, and im sure there are other possibilities, are the dome light fuse being bad, or the door switch being bad, if your door light and dome lights come on when you open the door then its not one of these, if they dont come on its either the door switch or the fuse (if neither passenger side or drivers side work its probobly the fuse, if one works and the other doesnt its probobly the switch.

Are you talking about specifically headlights, dome light, or the red door lights?

I'm not sure if it's standard on all Celicas, but when I pull key out, opens door, the headlight will automatically shut off... that's why I never turn off my headlights..
