SOLD: COMPLETE 5sfte kit - 6G Celicas Forums

this thing was on and running. i am selling EVERYTHING needed. the story goes like this. spent all weekend putting it on. didnt finish buy the intercooler piping by the end of the weekend. thats all that needed to be done. made a custom intermediate pipe to run between my turbo and throttle body until i could finish the front mount. was QUICK. parents offered to take it to the shop for me to have it finished, so i said okay since i couldnt work on it during the week anyways. the mechanic basically told my parents how dangerous what we did was n blah blah blah. basically convinced my parents to have him change it back to stock, which REALLY sucked. so now im just trying to sell all this stuff. im selling this COMPLETE

the kit includes:

stock 3sgte stuff (turbo, manifold, downpipe, oil pan, oil lines, water lines)
2 bar map
custom oil feed lines with T and everything, followed mannys guide exactly
custom water feed lines (includes the T's to T off the throttle body lines)
rx7 injectors (460cc)
front mount intercooler
stock mr2 bov and elbow
intercooler piping, 8 90 bends, 1 45, 1 180
random boost gauge
greddy egt gauge
gauge pod (used on a 5th gen celica)
255 lph fuel pump (brand new)
apexi safc ver. 1
msd btm (with tach adapter)
two r us boost controller
all hoses and clamps that i used. including those expensive silicone hoses for intercooler piping.

this is EVERYTHING you need. no need to search for random bolts and hoses, etc.
the turbo is in good condition, minimum shaft play, nothing major at all. ran fine the
short time i was able to use my car. btw this thing was QUICK, and gave a whole new
feel to the 5sfe that its almost unbearable to go back to how it is now.

you and me both..this is like 36 hours of straight labor going down the drain right now. looking for somewhere in the neighborhood of 1500-2000. for the kit btw. this is complete and everything you need.
RX-7 injectors are 550cc, both primaries and secondaries.

i hate to say it, but your mechanic is right! its not often that you find people who care about the life of your motor.

ya. turboing the 5s is dangerous, just because that motor isn't built the best for a turbo. Thats why im going for a 3s because that motors built for the turbo. but good luck selling it. i know there has to be a few here that would like this set up

This guy is trying to sell something here... go talk about it being bad somewhere else... sheesh.
Never said it was bad turboing the 5s. There are a lot of people on here with turbo'd 5s's. if i wasn't going 3s i'd buy it.

I learned something, neato.

The 550cc's that are used in turbo FC's, are almost at max duty cycle on the 7's stock ecu. This has lead to a lot of early injector problems for us 7 owners, so I highly recommand a flow test and cleaning if they're used.

i would recommend a cleaning, HOWEVER, these ran fine on my car and are not near max duty cycle with the 2 bar map combo. you will definitely run rich and will need to subtract fuel with the safc.
dang...i want a turbo, but can't afford much...all i could really go for highest is $500 shipped...sorry for being so poor. good luck though!
