i followed the TWM pdf.. pretty simple... the hardest part was getting the center consol off lol, daym those clips are funky

lightly greased the 2 plastic cups. put it all back together and i must say... This thing rocks..

i didnt have to cut anything... it was soo very very easy

best 30 bucks ive spent on my car so far

what the...when i installed mines, it shifts harsh...especially 3rd gear..wouldn't go in?...hm...wonder what's wrong...i greased and got directions from twm website...

well.. it might be the quality of rthe kit... mine was from Dynasty imports on ebay... i gotta retrofit my shift boot today, then ill get some pics up..

Is your right shifter cable rubbing on the plastic piece of the shifter base? I cut mine just to be safe.

I have the same issue with my 7th gen shifter. I'll tear into it over spring break and try to fix it.

damn i know what the issue is now...f*ck...i got screwed over on ebay with this crap...i dont think its a 7th gen short shifter...the bottom of the short shifter is long as hell...the reason why third gear is rough is because it's rubbing the bottom of the base of the shift...imma report false item!...

Did you install the spacers? The bottem is suposed to be a good bit longer. It might not be a false item. If you put the spacers in, it raises it up, so it doesn't hit. Even with the spaces, there's a chance it could hit. That might be what's wrong with mine. If it fits in, it's most likely the right shifter.

Remove all 4 stock rubber spacers. Replace with spacers from kit. Cut plastic where right shift cable rubs.

Yeah, I cut it after a few days. I didnt notice a difference. Just to be on the safe side

yes.. so long as the kit has... 4 spacers...... 4 bolts.. and the shift lever

Man i just got mine installed yesterday, and i must say, why would anyone pay for a TRD or TWM. The 7th gen is cheap, yet still is very short and crisp. I love it. The best value I've seen in a while. Not to mention easy and quick as heck installation.

agreed. plus it looks a whole lot better than our long *ss stock shifter. that thing was long as hell, especially with an aftermarket shift knob. so ugly.

i'm gettin me one of these..
