I know doggy has done one. I'm sure you can just sand it. Then you'd have to go through this process with the 8 different grits. It's obviously easier on plastic. So.,,,,,who knows anything about this or would be willing to ship me and extra lense they have so I can figure this out???

um, cant really sand glass, and are you refering to doGGy's custom clear projectors? thoes were not factory leses. you can sand down plastic leanses but it does not look good afterward. I recomend just getting projectors or sticking with what you got.

Well, i tryed tyo sand Glass my self, used different methods and etc, with different sand papers.. One big broblem - to remove all the ribs inside the glass at first you need to use very rought sand paper (grinders with about 80 grid sandpaper) While using this grinder - glass gets hot and starts to crack... This is why companys who does all the glass jobs has special type rinders with water running all over to cool the glass down.. If these lenses where plastic - it would be piece of cake to do this... As for my Custom projectors - i have a company here localy who can do this job easily.

I think it would be a great ideal
I'll post pics when I get my lights back in!
i too would really like to know this cuz thats what ive been thinking of doing for a while.
what type of place would do that sorta thing???
what type of place would do that sorta thing???
I have personally called a few hundred places in the U.S. I have found one place to do them in new York, but their pricing is ungodly high
who ?? and how much
I will have to find the name of the place but for each low beam it was $140 per side and the high beams were like $110 a piece
Well maybe doggy could have them done for us, and then ship em to us... Seems like the shipping on a 4 pieces of glass would be pretty cheap. Cuz i think he said his wasnt too expensive. Ive been trying to find a place to do this also, i found a guy in Texas, but he wanted 300 for the lows. He specializes in "glass cleaning and clearing"

The place is around or over 100 miles from Romas and they are still in excess of $100
Pricing here is about 140$ for the Low's and about the 90$ for the high's.
+ Shipping is about 35$ to me and about the same till USA..
Still this is alot of money, and IF at shipping lenses get damaged - who will be responsible?

They're actually glass? Not like a high-impact lexan?

celica3sgte, the reason those "patterns" are on the lenses is to help disperse the light. If you are going to clear the lense, you will want to go HID or some other form of lighting to help with visibility.
Its so ugly though, i think it would be worth it to just upgrade to HID and go clear...

Guys, you need to FIND a difference in HID's and Projectors!
Projectors are Light routing UNITS
HIDs are light source (Bulbs + Balasts)
