i will be installing a new CD and speakers soon and i want to paint the dash also. i was just looking at paint info on the web. looking for a new look. saw a site for Krylon paint products...pretty interesting. even have metallic finishes. a little wet sand, some tack cloth, constant motion with the rattlecan and voila! new dash (in theory laugh.gif !!)

lol have fun sanding vynl

thats why if i would paint it i would want it fiberglassed first

my eyes my eyes!!! so bright! but pretty cool. I wanna see that done in black for sure smile.gif
doesnt look very cozy...i think you could do alot with fiberglass though, and definately make a very nice interior.

My first post... i own a custom audio company in the Uk and we are doing a gen 6 celica as a project car for ourselves...
Just on dash at minute.. we are keeping the original dash shape and finish and just working within the panels... fabricated Dakota Digital gauges into original bezel, 8" touchscreen and relocated all heater/air con controls into centre arm rest...

If i knew how to post up pics i'd show you a bit of the dash

paul what you can do is take the link of the image (where its hosted)
you have to use an external host here (ie photobucket, imageshack)
then you go

[img ] link[ /img] to make it appear

interesting cluster....but i'm more interested in the dash

although post up how you did it and wat was required to make it work that would be great information!
will get some more shots hopefully tomorrow of the centre piece....

really didn't want to change the whole dash as the vehicle is used to demo the products and services we offer at an acceptable level of cost

Yea, and if you have any tips on fiberglass and what not, feel free to throw those in. I know alot of us want to make cool custom stuff like you have.

No problem if anyone wants any help then just shout me... there should be some more cool stuff going in the car... already spent a day wiring up digital dash and extending all heater air con control wires...

Plenty more to come.. just the outside i'm having dificulty with

all that yellow would drive me nuts. i guess its cool for a custom/show car type of thing, but god i couldnt live that on a daily basis.

15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
^^awesome!

Or perhaps a hello kitty theme with a pink and white dash and a custom hello kitty cluster.

Its Orville's Celica, i just drive it...
