Hey guys, after suggestion from my little bro (who also suggested I paint my rims gold) I decided to amber out my turns and sidemarker. Check it out:

Bought the amber from Super Autobacs... 22 bucks... but it's quality stuff.

Sprayed sidemarkers 1 coat so it'll match a little better...

I think the amber looks way better... There was too much clear going on in the front... this helps balance my bright gold rims.

i've been ignoring this thread cuz i thought it was the same as the other one...

but omg, your car's beautiful... i bought the exact same body kit pieces from boosted6g minus the rear splitters, but suddenly changed my mind and wanted to go oem gtfour cuz i was worried about fitment and stuff like that..

man.. you really had us going when we thought you were gonna keep your car 'flat' black..

btw, black is definitely the hottest color (or shade.. whatever) on a 6g.. because black shows a lot more reflection than any other color which really shows off the celi's body lines and curves..

i'd give this a 9.8/10 rating since the only thing bugging me is the center tri-circle emblem on the rear hatch and the slight gap between the hood and the bumper.. but that's just me being paranoid. but i'm really lovin' the shaded toyota emblem on the front.

Jeez you have good eyes... then again those were pretty detailed pics. =) Thanks for the compliment. biggrin.gif
very nice. I wouldnt have touched the clear lights, but very nice .

I will return one day.
Yeah your cars stunning , really nice - clear is better than orange thou tongue.gif

I've always favored amber signals on black. I like.

A Jaws4God Creation...
Damn fella, she looks so good smile.gif

i fact so good, i'd swap my 96 - GT 4 for your car if it was a Right hand drive smile.gif

would you mind if i used you colour scheme when i get round to painting mine.......

Life is for living, and you don't get a second chanceTake care now !!
I like the amber signals , they are awesome biggrin.gif and really compliment the black.
i, too, like the ambered corner lights... your lil bro's got good taste..

i now change my rating from 9.8 to 9.9/10.

Hmm... and what about tail turns? Are they still clear or brand new orange? wink.gif

No more replicas... This is evolution... This isSS-four:)________[Featured Celica of 6gc.net @ 2010]_________
lookin good man, although I favor the clear over the orange too
+1 thumbsup.gif for the orange. looks great, i think there was too much clear on the front as well. really compliments your car better imo ^^please dont paint the jdm tail turns! smile.gif

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.
No way am I touching the tails... they're sexy just the way they are. Thanks for the compliments.

I'm not sure how I'm going to minimize the gap between the hood and the bumper. The only thing I can think of is relocating the latch a little lower or something like that.
try screwing in the rubber stoppers first and see if that helps lower the hood some more

Good idea. biggrin.gif Will try it this weekend.
You have done your car up tastefully! I think I am convinced to get some raiser blocks too. If you just had the JDM Projectors, you would be set, but even if you don't, the ride is still bling, blingin in the OC.
Thats óne sleek ride there. Big props for u Chan. bowdown.gif And like u said when u get a engine to mach the looks of the celi then.. wow. But its already freakin hawt. lol

damn, that is one sexy *ss car. i thought this was the "flat black" thread and didn't realize that it said "phat black" till now. black is so sexy.

ss-iii splitters and 404 skirts areon. which means i need to update my sig.
u can change the hood to bumper gap by loosening the 3 bolts that hold the top of the bumper to the body. if they are too tight, youll have a bigger gap

Ok I cleaned the gap. I can't believe you guys even noticed it. I used washers and placed them uder the bumper to get it just right.
