well the shop where my car is has a all trac siiting out side no motor but mostly everything else there going to haul it off to the junk yard and he said i could have the brake stuff off it so what all should get to see if it works on the 6gen

braket
calipers
rotors

e brake
rears

do i need the spindals?

Better safe than sorry. I'd grab everything I could off that thing.

EDIT: Might as well grab the fronts too. Your ST could use a bigger brake up front.

For the fronts... all you need is the calipers and caliper brackets. The rotors aren't direct fit... the center bore is about 1mm too small, so that will need to be bored out so the rotors fit flush on the hubs.

For the rears... grab the entire thing complete. Basically unbolt the spindle from the suspension and you'll have everything needed. I believe someone on here said the 5th gen ebrake cables are direct fit also...

I thought if you changed the knucke and everything it would make everything bolt up, then you dont have to mill out your rotor.

I think the rear disc brake setup is the same as a GT.

It's easier to simply modify the rotor. Much Much easier... 1mm difference ain't a big deal.

As for the rears... the calipers are the same... but the internal drums are slightly different so the actual rear rotors are slightly different and do NOT interchange.

I just got 5th gen rear brakes everything from the knuckle out so I just plan to bolt everything up by using the 5th gern knuckle

You are incorrect here. I have the rears from a 91 and 93 rear celica GT. The internals and everything work fine.

edit: or were you talking about the alltrac brakes?

5th gen alltrac brakes will not work, 5th gen GT and ST185RC front calipers and rotors will work. Like Kwanza said you need to bore out the middle to fit the disks. I know this for a fact.
The 5th gen Rears should be a direct bolt on from the hub. I dont know this for sure, just what the masses have said. What I do know is if you find a 6th gen GT the rear disk swap is very simple.

Again you misunderstand. All i'm saying is... if you're gonna use the 5th gen rear discs as a swap to the 6th gen (cause the 5th gens are much more common), get the ENTIRE assembly and DO NOT BUY IT IN PARTS! Why? Cause 5th gen parts do NOT interchange with 6th gen parts.

oh man where has my head been at?? Ever had one of those weeks? Well yeah I got the ENTIRE assembly for the rears. I think it would be cheaper and easier to buy the whole assembly than to piece it together. hard to find though, atleast took me a few months to find some.
