Funny part is, on the liftback celicas, and the tibron, the hatch has the same design, and so does the rear spoiler (94-95 spoiler)

I'll pick the celica biggrin.gif
Simply because I know they will last longer than
any hyundai would wink.gif
You cant compare korean made cars with Japanese made cars.

the new ones are pretty nice looking (however id still take the clean lines of a 6g anyday). few little things like the fuel door, side vent just arent as clean in my opinion. overall well desigined. the 00-01 tiburons with quad lights though are one of the worst designed cars on the road though in my opinion. it looks like its melting, its so distorted.

actually hyundai actually makes pretty good quality cars now (but nobody can match toyota tongue.gif). they, and kia know the public perception of korean cars, and they are making good efforts to change that, hyundai especially.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.
Before I got the celi i was thinking about gettin a tiburon- Glad I got the celica. tongue.gif
Yea they are trying to change it.
But it will still be a while before anyone will lose that preception.
But for me personally I would never buy a hyundai or a kia.

Vs a 6th gen? Tiburon. GT v6 6 speed. Celicas have nicer interiors though IMO.

Vs a 7th gen? GTS.

I agree... I was looking at bunches of other cars as well... probe's, eclipses, camaro's, talons, 3000GT's, Stealths....

but man I don't think i'd love them as much as I like the celica!

You should've gotten a 5.0 mustang. It's the most moddable car out there for your dollar... if you can handle the looks.

And if I planned on leaving the cars stock, I'd take a new Tiburon. If I planned on doing modifications... I'd take the Celica.
i like the look of them.... but it s a hundai, the build quality of their cars is pretty poor.

i had a white 95 gt 5.0 which is the fairly newer body style... i hated the way it drove. it felt big and heavy and the guages were horrible and small. but man did that thing GO

let me tell you what those 5.0 stangs can be fast as hell if they get traction, only problem is you have to spen a ton of cash into suspension and rear end to get them to hook up but when they do, not many cars can catch them
For the life of me I can't really get into V8's.....and im being totally serious when I say I've tried.

I'll take a 3SGTE, SR20DE(T), K20, 2ZZFE, 2JZGTE, RB26, etc. that hauls a$$ anyday over just about any pushrod V8 you can throw at me. wink.gif

3rd gen ST205 3SGTE - Alive and boosting.
This started as a tiburon vs celica.
Now its a 4 banger vs v8.
But I agree with Silver I'll take those engines over a v8 anyday.

My friends say a V6 Tib new model is not a sports car. They also say My celi is not a sports car and is just a wannabe sports car. Just wait untill I slap their faces with my new mods. HAA!!
id take a new tib over a 6th gen any day if i could afford it, they are hot, and have much more modability than the 5sfe. and hyundai has great build quality now and have a 100,000 mile warranty..

What do your friends drive? Chevy Cavaliers that their parents bought them? They're more than likely just jealous because you have a nice car.

still there is no replacement for displacement, you do any mods to a 5.0 that you do to a 2.0 same mods, your makin more power on the 5.0, which one is used by top fuel dragsters, not a 5.0 but a big blown hemi v8
i'd take a celica over a tib. toyotas are great quality cars smile.gif i've owned a hyundai before and had ALOT of oil burning on a 50k mile motor mad.gif and true theyre moving on up quality wise but theyre not yet there kindasad.gif and the v6 tib is a pretty nice car but its mpg is terrible...i think like 18mpg city? my friends got the 4 cyl version and he's getting i believe 22-24mpg on that little 1.8

The four cylinder model is a 2.0L. It goes in pretty much all their cars.
