i tottally agree with dustin and dan, and everyone else. Lose the scoop and the wing. If u must have a wing go with GT-4 or TRD. But not the vader. Other then that ur car looks very good. nice work! And i love the skeleton you put in the engine bay! Nice touch!

i dunno i like her idea with the scoop but if it was shapped more like the 5th gen all trac hood scoop i think it would look better you know more rounded

It looks like it's trying to look like a shaker scoop. Cut a hole in the hood and mount it to the top of the motor, or at least dirrect air through it into the intake. It really takes away from the flow and smoothness.

wow before it was put together the paint loked a lil....ricey maybe. but now that i see THOSE pics it looks pretty mean....gen concensus (sp?) wing and scoop = no good. also i might add that some inner wheel wells would help, some projectors, diff. simpler-er wheels (same colors though), and maybe cut back on the sickers. or move them to the back glass in a nice row or 2. having them on the sides draws away from the phenominal paint. sorry if i seem critical

It's all good, I have to have the stickers though...they are my sponsors. As for the wheel wells i have them but have been to tied up to get them on...im still not done with the car...I have a long way to go yet

i'll have to look i don't think i took any because he was suposed to be in the wild class.....they changed it around this year so i'm competing with guys with molded kits and lambo door and such....but it was an 02 celica all white with fiberglass interior, full system, nitrous set up, fiberglass hatch, lambo doors, and the typical rims, and dress up.

What shows here in pa are you doing this summer? So I know where to look for you. So I know which shows I will have the sexiest 6th gen. Becuase yours is by far atleast 10x sexier than mine.

I will be at all carlisle events, pittsburg import fusion, show it off car show in millersville pa, tuner wars in hershey, summer cruise in in hanover, show in g-burg forgot the name, Over drive in mechanicsburg, tuner invasion, street rave, night shift in philly, tuner wars in york, motor mayhem in redlion, wr evolution in harrisburg, and i think that's it.

i have coil overs right now but im in the process of putting air struts on now

unless it's event coverage, it's not going to be in all those magazines. Especially both Super Street and Import Tuner. It's an industry thing, you won't see a car featured in more than one magazine...unless it's an industry car (Tein xB, etc.).

And honestly, I can't see it being a feature car at all. No disrespect, cause I don't care what people do to their cars. But I just know the selection process that alot of magazines use. The paint isn't enough. Granted, can't see the interior or the engine work.

Okay I'm gonna try not to sound arrogant here......I'm just telling you all what was told to me, by the people that took the pictures and by the media tags they had on. I guess because they are supposably are not gonna do it because my car isn't good enough mean once I get the tapes and mags, i have to prove it and put them on here....you know this is very very sad.....im trying to not be rude to you but arn't you the same person who said i didn't win first last year at the millersville show and supposably taked to the person in charge? I won first place there and I wasn't lieing then or now. I figured shring this was a big thing not just for me but to know a 6gc made it on all this coverage, and to think the 6gc community would be happy about it as well. I guess i was wrong once again. Sorry if I'm being petty but it kinda hurts when i put so much work and time into this and now it seems as if im being told my car isn't worth being in these things.... If you where trying to make me feel bad guess what u succeded, but I may be hurting now but I will prove to you my celica can and will be in these mags and tv......

Congrats Christina, I give you a lot of credit, and I personally am very proud of the sucess of your car not only as a 6gc member but also because your a woman. Congrats again and keep all of us updated.

Okay, I don't mean to be mean, but have you ever picked up one of those magazines and looked at the cars? Your car is nice, and deserves some respect, but not like those guys cars. The thing that upsets me is you talking about all the hours you've put into it and what not. Have you stripped it down to bear metal and completely redid everything? From the looks of it, you have the nerve to take pictures with dirty inner fenders and no fender wells. The people that get featured in those magazines would never let something like that happen. They've also spend a lot more hours than you have on their cars. The only thing that stands out on your car is the paint. Like I said, you have a nice car, just don't put yourself up there at that level. It would be the same as me saying I should be able to run with 3sgtes because I've spent so much work on my engine. I'm not trying to be mean, just wanting you to be realistic. You've got a lot more work to do before I think your car is deserving of featured shot in a magazine. But you have a very nice start. Keep up the good work.

hey, most magazines do have featured cars like hers - its just in the few back pages of the issue - detailing about what they have done to their cars that stands out from others - but centerfold - hope that will happen - every one here will be proud to have a 6th gen represented in a tuner magazine

That's the thing I told you I'm no where's near done you saw how it looked at the show. The people that have been in those mags, are the same cars i compete against each season so it's not as if im not even close....and yes i have stripped it down to bear metal and it wasn't fun or easy, it was alot of hard work but needed to be done and the outcome as you can or can't see i like. granted my car is a work in progress but it has made it far enough apparently.....like i said i know what im up against i compete against thenm at shows, granted it's not in the wild class but neither are alot of the cars you see in the mags

how is it not good enough, just because its not a rx7, supra, s2000, or some other big money car dosent mean its not worht those magazines, a 6gc that nice is rare, and that is what magazines are after they dont want to have the same thing that the other mag does, they want a one of a kind, which that car is, and for people tlkin bout the hood scoop while it may not be perfect who cares what we think, i think a scoop like burneeed's would look better on her car because it is more rounded, anywho great car

yah my scoop is nice and all but because of my top mount thats still there unfortunately it melts it off every 3 months its terrible. But yes Christina I would definately suggest that to you. I would also suggest doing some kind of motor work to that car. Yes the car is awesome. Its just all show with no go?

Man did I get flamed with my car looking like this.. comments like "Dude lose the spoiler" and all the airplane jokes you can think of.

I noticed so many nice cars at this meet... which inspired me to make my car the way it looks today.

I think you're missing the point here... regardless if "Nat will always be Nat" We are a community and as Christina even said she welcomes FRIENDLY criticism, not people being blatantly rude. Maybe Christina's car is not what you would want to do to you're car, and thats fine, but i really don't think there is any need for rude comments. If it's not your taste you can say so in a nice way , or better yet not say anything at all.

i dont think i was rude. I made a valid point and i had a couple people back me up via IM. they just wont be willing to come on the board and say it unlike me!

all i gots to say....she got more a chance then you.....and most of us at this point for that matter....and i think she has more trophies then nat too....
