subaru borrowing from the gt-4 wrc - 6G Celicas Forums

for some reason every time i see the front of a gt 4 it reminds me of the impreza wrx, did subaru ever borrow anything from toyota, j/w cause they look similar from the front maybe its just the whole rally thing but idk

ik the suby is shaped like a kleenex box and the lights are different, but does anybody else see what im talking about ?
Maybe the foglight setup???

7th gen has a turbo!!! WOOT for BOOST!!

Well Toyota do own Subaru... in a roundabiut sort of way. In that they are the majority share holders in "Fuji Heavy Engineering Co." and they make subarus... wink.gif
I think their ownership interest is fairly recent though so most of what Subaru did until that point was on their own.
for my opinion..i think toyota does own subaru bcecause one fact that the older models in 1990s...if you compare to Toyota Camry and Subaru Impreza L models...they look very alike. i mistaken it like alot by impreza by camry instead.. laugh.gif
It was so nice to learn that toyota now controls subaru through the shareholding in FUJI. So now whenever a scooby owner trys to tell me anything about Toyota, I can just tell them this and they will just shut up.
btw,
since there is this relationship now, i think if the two come together and develop something together it would be great. They could even make the Subaru the sports brand of Toyota (ie. like lexus is the luxury, and Scion the limited cost)

ALL the cars in the early to mid 90's looked alike. They all had the same rounded, oval looking shape.
