yeah my friend is buying a 93 VR-4, and my other friend is getting a 2004-5 aint sure. evolution 8. thes are faast. so could a modded 3s-gte keep up? some how?

sure if you add enough mods... but shouldn't be cheap or easy.

i would say stock vs stock

gt4 would anialate the 300zx and vr-4. but the evo 8 would give it a run for its money...keep in mind that the evo's are like 30 grand....just imagine if you got a 6th gen for 8 grand and put 22000 into it. that evo wouldn't stand a chance. i agree that they are fast but over rated and over priced because of one thing. that damn movie.

if the 300zx is TT, then the gt4 stock will be a little bit slower, 300zx na, HA. the vr4 would also be a little faster than a stock gt4.

as for the evo, it is a bigger and heavier eclipse gsx running 19psi. already people know it will not be a reliable car and they are not easy to run to their full stock potential from what i have read.

now when the gt4 is modded, it can be faster than all three, given that the driver is a good driver

I think we're talking about a 3sgte transplant into st204. in that case the car is gonna be a lot lighter, think 2700 lbs, so it'll be a bit faster anyway. mb still a loss stock for stock though.

the evo would win hands down...i dont believe any of the others do 0-60 in under 5 seconds as for the evos 4.9 0-60 although i have heard before that the VR-4 can do it that quick but im not really sure about that

ok the evo runs 13.0 in the 1/4 the vr4 runs 14.3 and in the videos it says that the gt4 ran a 13.8 so the only car that can beat the gt4 is the evo

I think the GT-Four will beat everyone but the EVO. However, it will be close.

no one was doubting the potential, they were just looking at the plain facts.stock for stock the gt4 is probably the slowest but only by a small fraction of a second when compaired to the Z and vr4. the evo is way ahead of all of them, but at a cost becaus the engine is already high in the boost and there arent many things left to change to make it more powerful(except more boost and complete set of internals)

I believe you are talking about the Class A/RC GT-Four...

do you think that a rx-7 would beat a vr4 or 300zx? if yes then the gt4 would beat them...you guys think that its heavy and all but its faster than you think..

i think a tt rx-7 would beat the tt300z 0-60 but the vr-4 would beat both 0-60 but eventually i believe the rx-7 would catch up...plus stock for stock the lancer would win in every category i believe....i read the lancer tops out at 157...which is just a few mph faster than an rx-7...but then again my friends civic si would beat them all ....

yes the vr4 does have the best 0-60 due to the awd and the amount of power you can launch with.

as for you friend's car, its still a civic, besides, this is stock to stock, i doubt that civic is anywhere near stock if it is faster than the evo8

um like i said, the group a gt4 is more powerful and lighter. take away 30hp and add weight to ANY CAR and it will get slower.

who said that an rx7 tt is slow? it is a fast car that is on par with the supra tt and 300zx tt.

what exactly do you think that a normal gt4 runs? the group a is capable of mid 13's, now subtract 30hp and add about 100lbs or so of weight, what do you expect it to run?

I believe that we are talking about 3sgte engine swap (not actual st205),
lot of people say that FF Celica w/3sgte is faster but thats not really true....
The reason why it's not true is st205 is awd, has a lot better launch; I'm not
sure if you guys have ever been in FF car with 300hp (ex 95-99 Eclipse GST - not GSX)
there is so much wheel-hop and burned rubber that's not even funny!!! NO TRACTION...

*Of the rolling start FF would be faster but NOT from a dead stop....
