laugh.gif what does the gt 4 have for supsension, i got the the 94 gt coupe 2.2 and it has coil over all around, idon't konw if im seeing things, but it seems to me the gt-4 sits higher? probably cause its where the rally version comes from? idk
the gt4, if im not mistaken, has superstrut, which also comes on the beams ss3 celi. yours has coil overs because you put em on or the previous owner did. our cars come with regular springs/struts/shocks, etc.
no my coil overs were standard, there nothing special like tein or tanabe it just came on that year, its a 94 gt coupe 2.2

its the 2 door lift back, not the hatch back
i think you mean "coupe"... liftback and hatchback are the same thing, as i understand.
well alot of people under the pictures have there car as coupe but it is a hatch back, i think they just said that cause a car with 2 doors is considered a coupe too, but o well wink.gif
yea i know. lol. its all good. i know wut u mean. like the scion tc. its really a hatchback but they call it a coupe... i dont really get that. theres people on here that think they have 'GT-4 coupes' lol.
I could see where the confusion comes from, coupe literaly means a closed two door automobile with two wide doors.
The ST205 is lower than the UK GT/ST. The US spec I'm not sure about.

A 2/4 door car with a rear hatch is called a hatchback in the UK.
However, if it's a 2 door 2+2, and a sports model, it's called a coupe.

My insurers call it a coupe, I call it a coupe and the UK government call it a coupe.

Go figure. It's a GT-Four coupe. And the *only* body style available over here.

It's only a name.

JDM ST205Blitz Spec NUR Exhaust, somewhere over $1000Needing another one 18000 miles later, bloody annoying.
Coupe = Boot/trunk hinges below the rear window

Hatchback / liftback = the boot/trunk hinges above the rear window

Thats how Toyota see things...not strictly true for the rest of the world though, hense the misunderstandings.
As far as I know the
Front suspension consists of Independent MacPherson strut, coil spring, gas pressurised damper, ball joint stabiliser bar.
Rear suspension consist of Independent Dual Link MacPherson strut, coil spring, gas pressurised damper, ball joint stabiliser bar.
This is for the Australian model, I'm not sure what its around the world,
but I dont think any 6gen celica came with coilover as standard.

I'll bet my GT4 that the coilovers are not standard factory fitment. wink.gif A previous owner would have fitted them. And that will be why it appears to sit lower than a GT4 with stock factory suspension.
