Nervous - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #33242 12 posts Started by 6th_celi_vert
Am I the only one that gets EXTREMEMLY nervous when somebody else working on my car? I mean...i get to the point where i cant even watch it gets so bad. I was letting a certified guy install my new head unit and just watching him taking the interior apart made me want to vomit and scared the hell out of me, even though i know what he's doin. Is there something wrong with me??

well. i get really scared when people touch my car. so thats why i do all my own work.
so yeah if some one was touching my car id be sacred.
ps when i installed headunit at Ccity i would break **** behind there all the time and the customer would b like WTF!!! are u doing.
haha then i had to explain how certain cars they have plastic bars you need to cut off. iunno. it was very fun to get a reaction.

why not just do it on your own. a headunit is pretty easy to install.

pros yes, but they still make mistakes.. i had my timing belt changed over the weekend, and i was driving my girlfriend home later that night after i picked up my car, and it engine started shaking violently. first of all i was embarresed because my girlfriend was like wtf, and second i was scared as heck. i couldnt tell what the problem was because it was way too dark to see anything, but when i got it home and looked at it under the light in the garage i found that the mechanic didnt put the bolts back in to the engine mount!!!!

i took it back and he fixed it and was very nice and appologized and gave me a free oil change. hes a pro, hes a good guy, but he f'd up

I really don't get nervous because I know that if a shop messes up then they pay for it. Never had it happen yet, so I guess I'll cross my fingers lol.
I get scared when someone has a sledge hammer near my car, and me not asking them to fix it in the first palce...
