Topic #32618 24 posts Started by celicagurl152003
Hey all it's me again, got the red flak and another clear on the car and I can tell the difference. Also put a hood scoop on her. I know alot of you arn't gonna like the way I painted her and made her look so please only "friendly" critism and pleasant comments. I really don't wanna hear any bashing. But anyways hope some of you like the way she looks so here are some pics....

Dang, Ill tell you what....
That sucker is glossin tongue.gif and I think that grill looks really good with your blitz bumper.
u consider molding the hood scoop?

Now SR powered
Wow, simply amazing. Wanna paint my car? I think the hood scoop would look nicer if it was molded in. If it sits on top of the car like that, it looks like a cheap glue-on.
in all honesty i can't tell a difference.
i'm guessing you have to see it in person, or at daytime(i saw it at night in person)
That scoop REALLY needs molded. From what I can gather, this is a show car right? If you have something on your car that looks like you just smacked it on there with some double sided tape... that's gonna get some point deduction by judges. It's really apparent in pics 2 and 5. Other than that, the paint looks outstanding and incredibly blingin!

what kind of clear is that??

Yes I considered moldng the hood and but, but truthfully I didn't do I because as soon as show season is over im going to get her sand blasted and gonna fully repaint her and more then liky mild the kit, I will also have fiberglass fenders and hood.

And the clear coat is a PPG Shop Line, very very nice clear.
Nice work Girlfriend biggrin.gif

well thank you all for the comments, the clear and the flake turned out great, I will have video's of my car soo so maybe you all will be able to see the paint quality better in them.

Laters,

I liked the idea of painting the front bumper red with a black lip. How come you changed your mind ?

I will return one day.
well, I could have done that but truthfully I'm not happy with the paint job that is done now...so i figured I would leave it for this show season and then next year (end of this years show season) I just repaint her completely. Give her a new look. I liked the look that's on her but after seeing her like that for two years and plus with people wanting more and more two tone cars, I wanna change so I'll be different at shows. Plus I didn't have the time to reduealot of things I wanted to this year
holy sh!t thats real shiney. lol. i dont like the hood scoop. besides that, awesome job. gloss looks great. not a big fan of the 2 color thing but its a show car, so it works. i like the grill too. it'd be cool if it had rear disc brakes too. goodluck at the shows.
congrats on the car... i hear you painted it on your own, so thats cool.

i have to honest tho, im not really feeling the paint scheme and the hood scoop. hood scoops should only be on cars if they have a function, not for a look. the small dragon on the hood also looks out of place to me.

the car has a nice shine tho, and props for being a girl that likes to work on her car and take it to shows!

well thank you, and all of you thank you for all your comments and helpful opinions, I do most of the work myself, my brother is still teching me the engine but I'm getting there. I should have a video up within the next week of my car. Just a little something that I could play with.
nice work chris....wicked shine as u probably read b4 i2 think the scoop would look better moulded or on top of the roof like the rally celis of old. if u were busy and have other plans 4 her than all the best in the future mods/shows...u go girl keep up the good work and represent. I think the colour schemes r different'n'wild...original. *thumbup*
