so. driving home from work... slow on the freeway as usual, nothing wrong though, all of a sudden this guy in this little ford ranger, slams on his breaks. i swearve to try to miss him, but i clip it with my front driver side. it would have been alot worse if i didnt swearve, its all cosmetic damage... now i have a reason for that carbon fiber hood huh?

cant find a bumper online, and most of the bodykits are just peices that go on your current bumper. and if i go through my dealer, itll cost me a fortune.

there are places to buy thoes parts easy, if you want a body kit cheack out andysautosport, thats where I got my erebuni bumper, its a great quality peace too.

you can call some junk yards, or make a post in buy/sell for what you need. Some of the body kits are the actual bumpers, lip kits use your current bumper.

i really want the gt4 front end. how it has that little like. air dam area right underneith the emblem. lol. but thats in my dreams, and out of my budget.

the dudes truck had like... a small dent in the metal bumper, and like a few paint chips nothing that wil lcost more than like 100 bucks to fix...

whose fault was the accident? did you put an insurance claim in? do you have collision? do you have a copy of the police report? and did you get all the info on the other guy? ie his name phone lisence plate and isurance info?

its "my fault" cuz i rear ended him, but if there was a camera, its his fault cuz he slammed on his brakes literally for no reason. but whateveri take blame, and its my fault. and arizona drivers are assholes and no people stopped that witnessed it.
cops came. i got all his info, i have insurance, but heres a problem...
its still my brothers call technically, actually i was goign to the DMV to make it mine tommorow morning.
he signed the papers and stuff, to make it mine, but its still insured under him. i have insurance on my other celica (93 gt) but it was just liabillity. so... yeah.
yeah i have a police report too.

honestly, i wouldnt go through insurance because it will just make the rates higher, doesnt matter whose car it is my car used be under my mothers name and i had an accident.

If his damages are minimal and he would agree to have you pay out of pocket and not go through insurance i would do it that way, that is just me.

I asked if you had the police report because it says on there who is liable for the damages.

Edit again- the reason why it is always the persons fault who rear ends someone is because when you choose to operate a motor vehicle you are supposed to assume that someone could potentially stop short and prepare for that inasmuch as staying enough car lengths away that if they did stop short you would have left enough room to avoid hitting them. Yes i know no one leaves enough space but that is how we are "supposed to drive"

aaaahhhhh! Yes go kill your self now. this morning when I was at the grocery store, this one lady slam her door open when I was going in to park. Well, it scraped my side and put a small dent in there. She looked poor and drove a ****ty a55 truck with her husband (I think). So...when I approached their truck to ask if she was ok she started to cry her a55 off and I noticed that it reminded me of the days when we were poor, drove a shi44y a55 truck liker hers, but even 10X worst, had no money, worked our a55 of to pay off bills. So I took it easy on them and just told them that it was a small scrape and a little buff would make it look ok again. (seriously tho, I was mad as h3ll). If it was some lady in a nice car I would have called the freakin cops and ditched out as much as I can in order to get it fixed and repainted. Sheesh imbeciles! It looked like she did it on purpose too. From now on, Im parking in a section with no cars even if I have to walk a block.

The celi, is now dented..... But seriously don't kill your self over something so silly. If you gonna die, at least fix the celi first.

Incorrect. The same thing happened to me 6 months ago and I now have a new GT4 front end. The cost was basically the same. The only challenge is accumulating the parts and all the information to do that is on this site.

yeah ...insurance covered most of the cost for mine, and i fliped the bill for the rest. wasnt too bad.

damn u got hooked up! i think mine was around 600 for the stuff insurace didnt cover. i had to go to a 2nd body shop tho, cause the 1st one refused to put different stuff on.

what body show would refuse to put diff stuff on? not like the bumper is that diff?
